Free Agent Rumors Thread

We're looking for shooters, except with the Center position. Go watch how the Hawks play last year.

Like any team, we're looking for the best players possible.

You're just an idiot.

Novak over Lebron at SF

Good thing the Jazz didn't get Randle for SF, huh? He wouldn't fit the system at all

I disregared Euro's 3's as it'll only be a 2 in the NBA.

The guy's a career 20% shooter from 3's in the NBA.

The corner three overseas is the same distance as it is in the NBA and Honeycutt played a grand total of 120 NBA minutes and you're drawing your conclusion taking those facts into consideration.

Hotttnickkk's all-"system" lineup:

PG Jimmer
SG Danny Green
SF Roscoe Hood
PF Novak
C Bonner

Bench: Ryan Anderson, Calderon, Ilyasova, Korver

This team looks legit. 82-0 for sure.

Well then let's have a look at this Euro's 3pt % before making any conclusions.

Hes a Cali kid who went to UCLA and left early. (there was some idiot agent that claimed to have paid him at UCLA and was trying to get the $ back)

If you add his playoff and regular season stats he shot;

.362 from 3 on 4.4 attempts per game.

keep in mind he was defending the best player while averaging 9.3 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 1.3 blocks per game..

His role will be quite different on the Jazz, he'd be a minimum guy garbage minutes player off the bench waiting for an opportunity, He might have more energy for keeping his shooting %'s high.

If he works out you have a Matt Barnes type on a cheap deal.

Do you know how he shot in the Summer League so far? That'll be an interesting stat.

Hes shooting better than Malcolm Thomas whos more than 2 years older, which is really what counts.

He's a skinny SF whos grabbed 12 and 15 rebounds in his last 2 SL games.

Which shooting SF's on the market do you prefer? Beasley has the best %, then there's Wesley Johnson at 37% but hes injury plagued and turning 28.

Also looking at SL stats without watching the games is truly an exercise in futility. For you to try and draw concrete conclusions about his 3pt shooting from that is laughable.

who are you to make those type of assessments off of such little information, some sort of noted expert??

LOL .. bro, it's all just part of the assessment, I'm not making conclusions based on those numbers or anything like that.

In Summer League play thus far he's played 9 games in total (plenty of opportunities to shine), he's 6/23 from 3pt, 26%, safe to say he's not exactly Kyle Korver (Who would be perfect for our team this year IMO).

Yahoo

HA HA! Can you imagine a front court of Boozer and Jefferson?
I can't see why they Charlotte would want Boozer? They've drafted pf's top ten the last two drafts, and Al and Boozer would make up the softest front court tandem in the league.
I guess I am not as high on Burks as a starter and Hayward as a starting SF. I think that's a downgrade from our starting SG and SF from last year.

Again, I'm not nearly as high on Burks as everyone around here is. I think Hayward is a much better starting SG than Burks and I think Hayward is a very, very good starting SG in the NBA and a very mediocre SF.
Your higher on Jefferson then Burks?!?! Really!
Excellent move by Rich Cho and Michael Jordan. That contract is a bargain in this market. Lol at the Pacers, they're screwed now.
no, they're not. Addition by subtraction. They still have Hibbert, West, and George. That's a pretty good core to build around.

The roster is basically set, its 12, and with Malcolm Thomas and Ian Clark its 14 my only hope left in F/A is upgrading those players, which i believe can be done.

Give me Honeycutt and Seth Curry over those 2 and I'm happy.

Id take Francisco Garcia or Aminu over Malcolm Thomas also (Beasley too but that's not happening).

Word is the Spurs contacted Aminu 2 days ago but no deal is imminent.

Yeah I like Garcia. He's pretty consistent.
