I'm at a loss. If Ty doesn't correct this fiasco soon, I will lose all faith in him.
The only thing that I was excited about this year was watching the young guys develop. We are not going to win a championship with Foye/Carrol/Tinsley getting significant minutes... I'm sick of how our franchise treats lottery talent. Do you remember when we started Milt Palacio over Deron Williams? Why do we feel we need to be "hard" on the lottery talent. (Note: If Alec Burks would have been undrafted I believe he would be starting for us.)
At least I'm in the Northwest and I get to watch Damian Lillard develop. It's crazy what happens when you let players play basketball... they get better, they mess up sometimes, but you can actually be in a position to evaluate the player's talent.
I wouldn't be surprised if Alec Burks becomes a locker room "cancer" and demands a trade. We deserve it.
I just cannot get over the fact that we are stunting the growth of our youth (who are locked in for multiple years on their contracts) for a bunch of players on the last year of their contract. There is no guarantee that Foye stays here long term if he "explodes"....
Sorry for the rant, I am extremely frustrated with the team/organization.
I keep thinking about how crazy it is that as good as Lillard has looked in Portland, if he had been drafted by Utah he'd be buried on the bench behind veterans Williams, Foye and Tinsley. Neither Portland or Utah is going anywhere, but Portland is using this time to get it's best young players invaluable experience.

Who is the other PG in Portland? I get what you are saying but Portland doesn't have anyone threataning him for pt.
They've got Nolan Smith and Ronnie Price. If Utah was in the same situation, Ronnie Price would be starting because he's a "vet" who knows the system....
