Fun trade ideas “who says no?”

Did you watch the game?

Edey was far and away the better talent. He looked bigger. His shoulders were wider. His screens were brutal. He out hustled and out rebounded Kessler at least twice that I saw during THEIR free throw attempts, which almost never happens.

Edey also played with more energy. Kessler’s body language was bad the whole game. Jazz winning that game had absolutely nothing to do with it.
I watched the game. Edey looked pretty good. He made 5 shots against Kessler for 10 points. He got blocked 2 times by Kessler. He was 5-10 from the field tops against Kessler which isn't that great when all your shots are in the paint. He crushed nobody and stole zero souls and lost the game.

Oh and he also got winded easily and had to be taken out of the game to get a rest. It was commented on by the broadcast.

I believe it was also like the first time in his career with zero free throw attempts.

Edey had 4 blocks. Kessler had 5 blocks. Kessler shot a better percentage from the floor and had 10 points 2 steals and 2 assists. Edey had 1 assist and zero steals. Edey had 3 turnovers. Kessler had 1. Edey 6 fouls. Kessler had 2. Kessler +4. Edey +1.

He then proceeded to miss the next 2 games and hasn't played since

Two parts:
1) Kessler to Knicks
Two protected 1sts to Jazz (and random filler/sweetener)
-Pistons top 13-9 protected ‘25-‘27 pick
-Wizards top 10-8 protected ‘25-‘26 pick

2) Lauri to Pistons (Lauri R&E handshake agreement)
Four unprotected picks
-‘25 unprotected (Pistons unprotect the ‘25 pick the Jazz acquire from Knicks), ‘27, ‘29’, ‘31 picks
-Isaiah Stewart
-Wendell Moore

Detroit has enough cap space to raise Lauri ~$18.5 million this year and pay a max extension
Hey someone in the Jazz organization: this is clever and good as hell.

Getting out rebounded at the free throw line when you got the inside track is embarrassing.

Twice in a game? You’re being out hustled big time.

BTW, Edey is a rookie and Kessler is a 3rd year NBA player.

Not hard to predict who’ll turn out better.

Way to move the goalposts. You said he crushed Kessler and stole his soul not that you think Edey will be better someday.

Kessler had less fouls, less turnovers, more blocks, shot a better field goal percentage, more steals, more assists, better plus minus, and won the game. Edey had more rebounds and points.

Edey didn't crush Kessler and didn't steal his soul. Stop being silly. Taking 2 or 3 plays from a game when each guy played around 33 minutes to make some point is ridiculous

He turned his ankle at the end of the game.

You did watch the game right?
Exactly. He got hurt. Kessler remained healthy. This is where if I were you I would make some ridiculous claim that Kessler stole his soul and crushed him because Kessler came out is the game healthy and Edey got banged up. See how stupid that would sound?

So gun to your head you’d take Kessler over Edey talent wise?

So gun to your head did Edey really steal Kessler soul and crush him?
Try to stay on topic

Not literally, no, but metaphorically yes.

Let’s move on to where you seem to think Kessler is a better talent, unless I’m misreading your take.

I’m not sure either Kessler or Edey is a difference maker in the postseason, but I’d love to have either of them on my team during the regular season.
