So the Mavs won then? Huh, good I was hoping they'd win. Obviously always good when LA loses but like others said it just seems like it would help the Jazz as the Mavs wont have the attitude of not losing two in a row to start the season.

I like Collison as well he was actually who I was hoping the Jazz would draft (instead of Maynor) and I see some similarities between the Mavs picking up Collison/Mayo like the Jazz got Williams/Foye (other then I don't think the Jazz would've wanted to give the pieces necessary to trade for them like the Mavs). Now Foye was a FA but just a one year deal so all these players are in the last year of their contracts if I'm not mistaken and even the players have some similarities Mo & Darren both scoring PG's Mayo & Foye both early lotto picks and tweener combo guards that haven't really found their niche (also on a side note both had been involved with draft day trades with the TWolves).

However while the 1yr left on the contract fits what the Jazz would be looking for I think that is where the similarities ended for the Jazz FO. Williams clearly wanted to be here and has had a big pay day so he wont necessarily be looking to get his to get his first big contract like Collison could be and Foye has been on KOC's radar for awhile now so he knows the Jazz have had prior interest. Also albeit from my very limited knowledge that Foye seems more like what the Jazz look for, as far as a tough minded type player and Mayo always stuck me and came across as a entitled type player.

One guy who played pretty well last night for Dallas was Rodrigue Beaubois. He's had plenty of injury setbacks and hasn't quite become the player the Mavs want, but Burks and Foye will need to contain him when Collison is out.

Also if I remember correctly he tore up the Jazz at least 2x last year.

He did. When the Jazz and Mavs played twice in the span of 8 days in January he had 17 points in 18 minutes in one game and 22 points with 7 assists in the other while shooting 60% or better in each game. He was pretty much a non-factor in the other game he played against the Jazz.

Lakers are 0 & 9 to start off their wonderful adventure. Heat on the other hand scored 120 points on the Celtics. It will be interesting to see if the Heat struggle at all against teams with size and rebounding prowess. I want to see Kanter bumping in the paint with Bosh. ...the fetishism of the NBA!

Plus SoCo pints come in plastic containers (instead of glass) which makes them easier to conceal due to thier flexibility. (have to be able to sneak into arena)

Well Mo is probably our best defensive PG in a long time..... Maybe only Price would be considered equal or better in that aspect!!
