Game #11: Nets at Jazz, Saturday 01/14/2012 7:00 MST

#1. I have lots of friends

#2 why do I have to cheer for Deron to influence people? I'm a very brutally honest person, and not scared to speak my mind. People always know where they stand with me. That's what influences people. I don't like the way Deron conducted himself as the leader and star of the team. I just got done listening to DJ and PK do an interview with the Nets announcer. The announcer said the coaching staff had to personally address Derons on court body language and attitude with Deron. He is a talented player but does that sound like a leader to you?

Just because I choose to boo Deron doesn't mean I'm a social recuse. Me booing Deron doesnt make me a bad person, it's me expressing how I feel

You know, its fans like you that give Jazz fans in general a bad name, which probably makes it even harder for the team to recruit free agents. Not to mention booing Deron will probably encourage him to play harder against us.

You are hurting the Jazz in two different ways.

This is the issue I've always raised with the "Deron really, really wants to win crowd". Wanting to win is great but how you go about expressing it can somedtimes be a detriment to the rest of your team - whether it be whipping the ball at a player like Hayward because he's cutting plays or showing up a player like Matthews because he's not shooting when you're trying to pad your assists stats.

And in a perfect world, there would be no crimes of passion, only love. In this world, however, you have to take the good with the bad. I'll take a player like Deron, who cares too much, 10 times out of 10 over a player who is a good sport, but lacks passion.

And just because it doesn't get said enough, I'm grateful to Deron for not not embarrassing the team with a trade demand, which very well could have happened. His behavior could have been better, but at least he tried to stick it out in a bad situation.

I'd give Memo a standing O. I can't think of any former Jazz man that I would do that for other than him, however.
Of course Okur deserves an ovation.

His trade away from the Jazz has probably already garnered Utah a one or two of their wins, not to mention ones to come in the future thanks to Okur's previous PT going to Favors, Kanter, and others.

Let's get onto this game, perhaps. Sundiata might put a dagger in our heart. Said it one, twice, three times... Sun-diatataata Sun-dibangbang!

Wow! It's not like I said I was going to throw a brown paper bag of crap at his front door or anything. All I said was I didn't like how he conducted himself hear, and that I would boo him. I forget who said I was like a 16 year old girl on my space, but my wife has been trying to get me to get an account for years. I don't do any of that. If my wife saw that post she'd have a good laugh at that. I do sales for a living, going on 14 years, served an LDS Mission, and my Wife did agree to go out with me and then marry her. Haha jokes on her.

Just one question...

When am I going to be invited to an exotic country for a ten day Holliday?

The irony of this discussion is I drafted Deron to my fantasy team in the first round. I drafted him over the likes of Rose Westbrook, and D Howard, and wishing I hadn't although he played out of his mind tonight.

For that reason I don't boo Kobe, however Deron isn't that guy in my opinion. Kobe Channels his frustration into an intense focus Deron seems to wear his frustrations like a ton a bricks.

I think you are remembering one bad time frame of Dwill's stay here. Why not focus on all the positives he did for the team and the community?

Also, do you not remember Kobe crying and demanding a trade out of LA when things weren't going well?

truthfully you are probably right. The main gripe I have with Deron is I feel he stoped listening to Sloan, and feel he didn't have Sloans back. Which may have been a main factor in in Sloan losing control of the team. When most people hear the name Utah Jazz they think of Stockton or Malone. I think of coach Sloan. I'm not going to blame Deron entirely for Sloan retiring, but I think he was at least a small factor. I felt the most irreplaceable piece to the Jazz was Sloan. Just thinking about it, I think that's why I have so much hostility for Deron, and it's hard to think of the good things he's done in the past, and I have been known to hold a mighty grudge.
