It's good to know that there's still a team in the NBA that plays brilliant, pure basketball. The game will mourn the passing of this Spurs team.
The paranoid fixation on real or perceived Corbin's mistakes in this thread is funny. The Spurs simply have much better players - no one on the Jazz can match Duncan, Parker, Ginobili. And a great supporting cast. And they played together for a very long time. The Jazz are simply no match for this team. The coaching IS better on the part of the Spurs, but it is such a small part of the story.
So far only Hayward, Favors, Foye and Mo are showing any fight, the rest of the team seems to have rolled into the submission and just going through the motions. That's bad.
So it's perfectly fine for the Jazz to be down by 20 because the Spurs have two good 40 years olds and a decent supporting cast? The MAIN reason the Spurs are as good as they are is their coach.
And the Jazz are packed full of talent by the way.
Sigh. Parker is known as an actor along with many Spurs. Refs are morons.
Just a quick observation. When Tinsley was on the floor Foye was still running the offense. What is the excuse now as to why Burks is not on the floor?
I think it is contagious and comes in waves: one time it was fashionable around here to obsess over CJ, then Bell and Howard. Now it's Corbin and Burks not playing. When much bigger concern is what is going on with our bigs. They were suposed to be our strength, right? I have no explanation so far.
P.S. Al on the fast break is something to behold.
I've read a few things that lead me to believe Burks has a bad attitude and is not a positive teammate in the locker room. Judging by the way he tries to turn every chance he gets on the floor into the Alec Burks show and not the Utah Jazz show it makes sense.
That is what I have been wondering. Thanks for the inside information.
I think I hate Parker more than any player in the league. He's such a whiny little b****
