Game #54. Jazz at Blazers

That's actually a bit unfair to Rush and it isn't in the best interest of the Jazz to let talent rot for no good reason. Rush's salary isn't horrible like Jefferson's, so we may want to re-sign him if he plays well with the team. So far he doesn't look good enough to bother re-signing, but he has been injured much of the last two years and it really doesn't cost us anything to give him 10 minutes a game to see if we should keep him. Just because we didn't draft him doesn't mean he has no place in the Jazz's future.

There is no reason why Rush should be getting any Pt. None. Whatsoever.

Way I see it is Utah WANTS to tank. So Rush and Jefferson should play 48 minutes. And Hayward needs to have more of those 3-17 nights.

So Thriller, I thought the idea of the tank is to LOSE games? To do that you AVOID playing the best players when possible. If they're hurt, you let them rest additional games. If they're hot, Corbin needs to ice them on the bench, which he did perfectly with Burks last night. This tank thing really isn't that hard to figure out: less Favors, Burks, Burke, Hayward and Kanter. More Jefferson, Rush, Evans, Garrett, etc. I've given up on Corbin ever playing Thomas, Clark or Lucas.

Kanter's defensive shortcomings are overstated and Favors defensive ability THIS season is also overstated. Both players are suffering this year on that end of the floor because they're finally having to learn to not foul and play defense at the same time. This is an argument for why you play young players early because defending without fouling isn't reall a necessary skill when you can't get more than 25 minutes in a given game even if it's the game of your life.
It would also help if the Jazz perimeter players offered any resistance at all or rotated to help the bigs. Trey, RJ and Alec are pretty ****ing worthless defensively.
