Cos we'll be discussing every minute detail of the first episode. It should be EPIC. It has to be.
Why?

Great scene. Whether movie or book.So I'm wayyyyy behind all you guys but I just watched the ep where Daenerys buys the army, then kills all those sons of bitches and her dragon burns that dude up. That was pretty chill.
Great scene. Whether movie or book.
The red wedding destroyed me when I read it.Yeah that was one of the most anticipated scenes for me. They did a great job on the show.
And while the red wedding was done well on the show it really had a ton of emotional kick in the book. I actually had a hard time sleeping the night I read that part.

Why we need to discuss it? Why would it be EPIC? Why would it have to be EPIC?
WHICH PART??!!??!!
I for one think he should have kept more Starks. Or at least have them around a bit longer. Such a shame to kill them off as early as he did.Agree about the red wedding. At that point I was actually kind of pissed at GRRM for following the Starks so closely through the whole story just to kill them all off. I get that the world is unpredictable but to really catch readers you need characters they can care about. When you make characters they care about then just kill them off you run a big risk of just losing the readers. Maybe that is part of the reduced or changed impact of the 4th book. He killed off enough characters we cared about that it is hard to care much about all these secondary characters now. Took the wind out of the sails so to speak.
