Through 3 books my favorite character is Danaerys hands down. After that it might be Arya. Arya is definitely my son's favorite character...he named his daughter after her.

Wow.. cool that is quite amazing :) makes me think who I should name my son/daughter after.. hehe..

I guess in some ways this is something of a family tradition. Or rather is starting to look like that. We named one of our sons after a favorite television character at the time.

Wow.. this really is quite a quirky tradition bro :rolleyes: ... anyone named Walt or Walt Junior, or Pinkman?
 
Bran is my fav character . I also like Doran Martell but he is a little bit away from action at this point, Arya and Barristan. I hate Dario.
 
I imagine if I was watching the series instead of just reading the books to start with I might have a different opinion here. It seems the focus on characters in the series is different somewhat than the books.

Also, book 4 is REALLY dragging for me. Ugh. It feels like I am just wading through tons of heavy dialogue just to catch me up what is happening in other parts of the kingdom while my favorite characters are getting killed off. He may as well start his chapters off with things like "Meanwhile...in Dorne" or whatever.
