I wanted the young guys to play earlier and I wanted to trade AL to get some assets but I am not in the inner circle of the decision-makers so I don't know if any good deals were left on the table. People like to speculate that people were just willingly going to give us an unprotected pick for AL knowing we weren't going to re-sign him.
I pay a lot of money to watch these games. I expect a yearly ROI in entertainment value.
In both games Kanter dominated him badly and the other game was a blow out win for Kanter.

Please leave? GFY Thrill. I'm a fan too and I have been one for a LONG time. If you think watching ****ty basketball is acceptable then by all means keep watching. I think it's ******** and it's unacceptable. I pay a lot of money to watch these games. I expect a yearly ROI in entertainment value.
I hear people say that this is better than 8th-seed mediocrity. I cannot disagree more. This sucks. This is unwatchable basketball. I'm paying to watch this and it is unacceptable basketball.
Sure, there were deals that would have dumped long-term contracts on us. Look at Boston. They can't do much of anything (outside of a trade) for another two years because of their salary commitments. Jazz could have been players for guys like Mayo, Jack, etc. Could have re-signed any of Millsap, Mo, Foye, Carroll. This season is a major shift in philosophy. I have no doubt had we followed the course laid out from the days of Layden through KOC, the Jazz could have very easily been a playoff team for the next 5 years. But it would have been a low seed with no chance at EVER contending. Is it a given the Jazz draft a franchise player? Certainly not. And there's a chance the player they draft will be a bust. But that chance is very, very small. I'll gladly suffer through a season of bad basketball to welcome a top-3 pick and likely a decent veteran coming aboard next summer.[size/HUGE] fixed [/size];694022 said:I don't doubt that there weren't any good deals last year -- especially at the deadline. But, Al shoulda been given the first decent ticket outta town after Deron was traded. There had to have been some decent offers, even if they were slightly less than we gave up to get him.
There's no way we aren't still paying the price for treading water for two years. For examplex I see the fingerprints of al-fense everywhere.
