Also, Kawhi ended the Warriors? Didn’t you say they’d played historically well without Durant? Don’t they still have Curry, Green, and Klay?

The Spurs championship has SYSTEM written all over it. Kawhi was crowned MVP after a great series, no doubt, but.... SYSTEM was the real MVP.

Milwaukee probably advances last year if Bledsoe doesn’t absolutely **** the bed.

Giannis was a better defender last year. Nobody even argues that.

If I were starting a team I would take Giannis over Kawhi for both the short and long term.

I would almost rather lose the game and have Conley shoot 8-12 and 2-3 from three and score 20 than win and have Conley suck again. Almost.

Well I hope the Jazz don't relax and end up on the losing end. I remember the Clips coming in to SLC recently with a bunch of scrubs and beating us. This is an important game because every game is important. Jazz need to win against the contenders because it could end up determining home court in the playoffs.

Even without Leonard and George, the Clippers are no scrubs

The good news is that only Gobert and Ingles were on that team.

If we want to dig further, neither of those rings came on superteams of his own. The Bucks had more firepower (or at least more players in their prime and contributing as such) and flat-out should’ve won. They didn’t. The Sixers COULD have won, they didn’t. The Warriors played demonstrably better without Durant (not to mention that they were historically great before adding him), they could’ve put Toronto away before game 6, they didn’t.

Lastly, LeBron doesn’t play defense and Giannis couldn’t beat Kawhi because he flat-out wasn’t as good at basketball as Kawhi. Giannis has said as much.

He’s the best player in the league until someone takes that title or he’s out for the year.

GSW played better with Durant. Durant iso ball may not look as pretty as GSW playmaking with Curry leading the charge, but it was better. If Durant was healthy they would have won the series. The one game he played is evident of that.
