Game Thread Preseason Utah Jazz vs LA Clippers 10-10-16

Then by this same reasoning everything is luck. He made a great play and he has done that fairly routinely.

I think Exum is a pg reincarnation of AK... makes some fantastic defensive plays and passes but will likely always leave you wishing he could do just a little more. I'm excited to watch him grow this year.

Maybe u realize how hard it is to get your hand square on the ball with the speed of the play. You're moving one way the other another with both hands on the ball. Then don't forget that with the speed of the play it's a bit of a judgment call for the ref seeing the play happen in the blink of an eye.

It isn't easy but I've made that exact play in games... call I luck I guess, but it's not like it's a unicorn.

His lateral movement was great and as stated above the refs could have easily called it a charge.

I just rewatched the game. Lost in all of the last play stuff is that the Clippers attacked Exum 1 other time in the last 45 seconds and he forced a TO by Rivers on the other one. He was in great defensive position on that one despite overplaying a little on the initial cut by Rivers. Rivers ended up losing the ball partially because Exum was in such great position. Even if he doesn't lose the ball he's going to be taking a very tough shot.

inal say.
Exum's hand didn't come down thus stripping the ball because he was falling backward. That's silly. He was falling backward and still had the quickness/athleticism/length to strip the ball. That's good.

Crawford even Exum a hand up out of respect. That's proof.
Crawford did not help Exum up. He moved over like he was going to then turned his back on Exum as he extended his hand and Bolomboy came over and helped him up. I thought it was kind of a bitch move by Crawford.

It shows that the jazz can have good to excellent D at the point all game long if they choose. At the rim as well.

I didn't think it was a bitch move at all. Crawford extended his hand to Exum. It was like saying 'good play man'. Then Bolomboy came in.

Pretty sure that he started to help him up. I believe he did grab his hand and start to pull him up. Bolomboy came in and grabbed Exum's upper arm and pulled him up from there and Crawford let go at some point in there.

That's right. Rivers seemed to have the jump but Exum blanketed him almost instantly. Exum is insanely quick even when sidestepping.

I'm sorry were you trying to aim at gaining likes, rep, a laugh? Exum fell and his hand came downward as a result. I was completely sober. Dante really played like a child out there. He made a lucky move. My final say.

Still bummed that you don't get to watch Trey jack up his 33 % FG attempts ad nauseam huh ??

Exum got smacked in the face by Crawfords elbow the first play, then put his nose right back in there two more times to stop penetration. The strip was almost irrelevent, he forced each play into being an out of control offensive more with his ability to stay with or in front of his man.

Ok i watched it again. He never did grab Exum's hand but i think he would have if Bolomboy hadn't stepped in to do it.
