i'm gonna be very disappointed if we lose this, even if it is a road game vs a division rival. Not so much because i like to start off with a win, of course, but denver is down 2 key components (kmart and birdman i believe). In yrs past we've seen the jazz play down to the level of competition either vs bad teams, or good teams missing key cogs. It is something i've harped on for yrs as it has cost us higher seeding . Lets see if they come out tonight and do what they're supposed to do, i don't wanna be too dramatic but it might be a good indicator.
True, and it shows how much of that was simply an effort&intensity issue as once the playoffs started Boozer thoroughly outplayed Nene before Nene hurt his knee late in the series. Jefferson may still be feeling his way around in the offense but I expect him to start the season with great energy and intensity.Nene was eating the Jazz bigs up during the regular season last year. Lets see what happens this year.
I think Nene/Al will be a good indicator of whether Al is truly a better player than boozer. Nene was eating the Jazz bigs up during the regular season last year. Lets see what happens this year.
