I think it does, but I also think it deserves proportional response(as in calmly engaging those people and challenging their views), rather than lumping them in a group with the killers and pouring your ire on them almost on the same level as you do with the killers.

What he's saying isn't absurd. It makes perfect sense. Culture matters.

bern expressed disapproval of a group people based on their private behavior without providing any justification. He's contributing to a culture of hate.

Yep. That's jim les logic in this. If you think poorly towards anyone or any group for any reason and then that person or someone of that group dies then you basically killed them too.
Jim les is showing hatred towards people who think like bern (most christians) so if people who think like bern (christians) get murdered then jim les should feel somewhat responsible. At least that is what jim les said.

I personally think that is dumb and horrible logic.

I spent the hour teaching my Sundayschool class yesterday about tolerance, love, and respect for our brothers and sisters (We Mo's sometimes forget that we fought hand in hand, as brothers and sisters, against evil, in the preexistance). Judging others is thankfully not up to us, and that we have the easier job of simply loving one another. In short, life is too short and precious to waste time hating (with the exception of The Lakers and DuhBron), so stop being dicks.

Someone/something has to create killers. No one lives in a bubble. Someone has to create that atmosphere, the views, the hate. It doesn't happen on its own, and we give those people who create that hate a pass.

I don't want to downplay this at all but for perspectives sake, there are about the same number of Americans killed in just the city of Chicago every year as Americans killed by radical Islamists worldwide. Radical Islam is a threat but not to the degree we seem to think it is.

I feel a strong desire to point out that most USA violence is drug on drug related. Meaning gang turf wars and the like. USA has a drug problem not a violence problem.

Funny aside is Reagans stupid war on drugs actually lowered the cost of illicit drugs as the pesticide sprays targeted MJ much better than cocoa and the product is higher profit and easier to smuggle and more addictive.

Modern studies are showing The War On Drugs has actually lowered crime through cheaper costs and increased accessibility. In essence, if a person does not have to snatch as many purses because prices are much cheaper crime rates have gone way down. As a true libertarian, I hate the criminalization and all the police stop and frisk targeting that is credited with lowering crack related crime. We know arresting a drug dealer does nothing more than create an open job position and potentially increase drug prices temporarily and thus violence.

End the war on drugs!
