I think there would be a higher number of gays than normal... but considering that you abuse them (offering your children gay porn) in your hypothetical test, I think your test would be biased and worthless. Not to mention, that you moved them to a male only community... that would be sort of strange too, since I don't know of any modern cities that are male/female only.

It doesn't matter the controls though, I used that extreme example because I think the change would be more apparent. My point simply is that I think you would have to be exposed to something consistently to like it and I think that will bare itself out in the statistics on homosexuality as they become more stable. The numbers are too political right now to make a good environment correlation, but I suspect it will edge up that way as homosexuals become more accepted. I suppose it's likely that the government is already aware that sexuality can be manipulated. The problem with these liberal movements is that they are all just pillars of the eugenicist movement. Abortion(fertility)/ Gay rights/ Climate Change/Welfare....they are all meant to stop population growth, not help people. Killing them softly.

By that definition, there are a lot of men in prison (or the Navy, for that matter) that are gay, even though they never consider sex with men when there are females around. Absent females, lots of men will express their sexuality with males while still on the island. Howeve4r, once they get retruned to a society with females, many of them will focus on the women instead instead.

People are changing their sexual orientation almost daily. It happens all the time. There is a high number of lesbians that have had children from previous marriages. My gay uncle had relations with women well into his 30's. He now lives with his partner and considers himself gay. But he also says he is attracted to women. Ann Heche was a lesbian and now she is not. Alot of people CHANGE their sexual orientation by CHOICE, nobody is holding guns to their heads.

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing, but one could/would argue that these examples don't work. One could argue that your uncle was always gay and didn't live it until he was in his 30's. It could be said Ann Heche was always straight and wanted to "try" being gay, or thought she was gay and realized she was actually straight.

The question isnt about the reasoning. But the fact is large amounts of people are CHANGING their sexual orientation all the time. By all accounts it their CHOICE, and they are not being forced into it.

How much did you know about Ann Heche before she got with Ellen? As far as self promotion is concerned, that move was gold. Fashionable, even.

I would suppose that being a celebrity would make being gay a lot easier. People (especially those around celebrities) have a tendency to want to suck up. I imagine being John Q. Public makes it a lot more difficult.
