Great player just behind Kyle Lowry in the depth chart. I think he is a real possibility for the Jazz to sign in free agency. Thoughts on him? We would need to clear cap room by trading Harris and not resigning CJ

I've always like Dragic and think he'd be a great fit here. He obviously can score and shoot the ball, but I haven't watched enough of him to make a judgement on his passing ability. How is he at setting up teammates?

Don't know if he's physical enough to play in our system..

Also is he starting PG material??

Also why did Phoenix traded him away? Anyone knew the inside story? I thought he was gonna learn under Nash and take over at some point?

How about Aaron Brooks, his contract in China is up in like March and will be a free agent. Do we have money to sign him this year? He is a score first point but I think an upgrade. Would he sign with Utah?

Played very well the couple of games he started this year. Perhaps this has something to do with Suns and Rockets second units not being very good? Definitely think the Jazz should be considering him. Only getting two million this year so probably could be had for a reasonable price.

Interesting, at the bottom of the list, plus-minus, but you have to consider the lineups he was playing with and what part of the game. Some of the games I saw he was definitely better than Nash.

you know what Dragic reminds me of, keeping in mind i am intrigued, one of those NFL back up QBs that comes in when the starter goes down with an injury and playes very well, then gets a big contract and never really lives up to expectation.

Bingo! I think we have a winner. He's got some talent, but there's a reason the suns gave up on him. In my eyes he has talent to have a game from time to time but not enough to be consistently good. That's why he's a backup. I think he would wear down quick as a starter.

Kevin Kolb, Matt Cassell...TJ Yates?

Dragic is a must-get for us assuming KOC doesn't find a franchise PG in the draft.

Ric Bucher said on ESPN 700 today that it's more likely that Houston will move Lowry if they can get Dragic to sign.

Bucher feels that Dragic seems like a loyal kind of guy. I have no idea what makes Bucher feel that way.

Either way, there's going to be a lot of competition out there. Portland and a few others have expressed interest. I just hope we don't overpay.

I believe this is what they will try and do as well. Dragic will likely resign with them if he is assured he gets handed the starting PG reigns. At the same time, Lowry is a good player on a cheap contract that would let Houston bring back quite a bit.
It just so happens Houston is one of the few teams that could use Al down low, with Camby expiring in both contract and useful age :D
KOC has some options on the table for getting a good PG even without the GS pick.

Is the Rockets organization anywhere near as big of bitches as their fans are? Because if they're not, I'd be very into the idea of trading for Lowry.

This is what I am thinking. Jefferson is the best option to bring in a good pg and Houston is one of the destinations. Now the big question is who takes Harris off our hands?

I am torn with trading Harris. He has played a lot better recently. He is especially good when he pushes the ball. Why spend big money on a PG who hasn't really proven that much. I am not saying I wouldn't go after Dragic but not for big money (starting $$). What happens if the Jazz are sitting at 13th pick and Marshall is available do you pass or take him? If you take Marshall or sign Dragic then you are creating a problem and wasting the pick if you believe Dragic is a starting PG. I am not a big fan of one year wonders.

Not sure why you are calling Dragic a one year wonder. I believe he has definitely proven he is starter material. Remember he played behind a guy named Nash previously so this is has been his first opportunity to prove he is a starter.
