Great player just behind Kyle Lowry in the depth chart. I think he is a real possibility for the Jazz to sign in free agency. Thoughts on him? We would need to clear cap room by trading Harris and not resigning CJ

Bingo! I think we have a winner. He's got some talent, but there's a reason the suns gave up on him. In my eyes he has talent to have a game from time to time but not enough to be consistently good. That's why he's a backup. I think he would wear down quick as a starter.you know what Dragic reminds me of, keeping in mind i am intrigued, one of those NFL back up QBs that comes in when the starter goes down with an injury and playes very well, then gets a big contract and never really lives up to expectation.

Ric Bucher said on ESPN 700 today that it's more likely that Houston will move Lowry if they can get Dragic to sign.
Bucher feels that Dragic seems like a loyal kind of guy. I have no idea what makes Bucher feel that way.
Either way, there's going to be a lot of competition out there. Portland and a few others have expressed interest. I just hope we don't overpay.

I believe this is what they will try and do as well. Dragic will likely resign with them if he is assured he gets handed the starting PG reigns. At the same time, Lowry is a good player on a cheap contract that would let Houston bring back quite a bit.
It just so happens Houston is one of the few teams that could use Al down low, with Camby expiring in both contract and useful age![]()
KOC has some options on the table for getting a good PG even without the GS pick.
I am torn with trading Harris. He has played a lot better recently. He is especially good when he pushes the ball. Why spend big money on a PG who hasn't really proven that much. I am not saying I wouldn't go after Dragic but not for big money (starting $$). What happens if the Jazz are sitting at 13th pick and Marshall is available do you pass or take him? If you take Marshall or sign Dragic then you are creating a problem and wasting the pick if you believe Dragic is a starting PG. I am not a big fan of one year wonders.
