Gordon Hayward Retires

By backstabbing us, Hayward guarantees:

- no team to return to as a legacy player
- no fanbase would remember him fondly let alone love him
- lose out on potential future endorsements
- his kids would never feel the love we could have given them
- unlikely to come back and sit courtside at the delta center
- potential jersey retirement

The list goes on and on and on.

It’s a real shame cos he could have gotten all of that and more ….

Potentially a lifetime of praise and gratitude.

Nevermore… nevermore…

Can't stand the guy because I think a trio of Mitchell, Hayward and Gobert could have won a title but he had a solid career and made a crap load of money.
I will always wonder what GH could have done with DM and Gobert. I will pretend his injury would have never happened and the Jazz would have been contenders.

Where is @David Hume to interject some empirical sanity into this interlocution.
Karma is a metaphysical concept and from my perspective it is entirely unnecessary. It adds nothing of explanatory value, nor does it have predictive importance. It is untestable, because any occurrence in the future can be labelled as satisfying the conditions for yelling "karma." If no future observation can rule it out, it is decidedly unscientific. It adds nothing of value for those of us that take an empirical stance.

Given that his injury was a freak occurrence, it is a reasonable assumption to make.

That being said, his being here would have slowed DM's development, to say the least.

That would have probably been a good thing.

Keeps Don’s ego in check a bit.

Would have loved me a humble Don.

That isn't karma though, that is just normal human decency. It isn't even cause and effect because you cannot guarantee the effect. You can be nice as hell and still have the guy pull a gun on you. What would that be karma for?

You do know that karma is meant to be the cosmic response of the universe to good actions in life providing one with a better re-birth, as in reincarnation, right? It isn't even really meant to mean anything in the current life, mostly aimed at the hereafter.

Yeah but mother****ers who screw us Jazz fans get their karma early.

I have no animosity towards Hayward for leaving. I have animosity towards the FO that groveled over pennies (NBA version of pennies) which disrespected him and allowed him to move to what looked like a significantly better basketball situation.

It’s a shame Hayward, Mitchell, and Gobert never because a thing. It was a self inflicted wound by the FO.
