I think it just depends on what you want to go into. I have my masters along with enough hours to qualify for the doctorate lane in teaching. Nice for the raise in salary but the bottomline is that you have to constantly be going to school in some manner as a teacher.

I don't even know if my wife has her associates degree and yet she makes 4 times as much as I do.

So whether to go to grad school or not just depends on the demands of the field you go into.
 
I earned my MBA and have mixed feelings on it. It has helped open doors to higher promotions and employers like it in interviews; however, it doesn't seem to have much of a short term effect on salary. It takes quite a while to break even financially, but eventually does help.
 
You can't talk about "your masters" and "bachelors" in general terms like you guys are doing. Someone getting their bachelors in computer engineering had about the same degree of difficulty (and usefulness post-degree) as someone getting their masters in English.

So you should be talking about it like, "I have my English-bachelors, what should I do?" And in that case, we'll advise you from there.
 
I'm pretty sure I'll be starting grad school this fall. My work will pay for it 100% and I'd be stupid not to take advantage of it. I won't name the school (it's one I wouldn't pay to go to, but you bet your bottum buck I'll do it for free) so don't ask. I'm pretty dang excited although I'm not sure what I want to study yet. As long as I'm doing my same job I am for the next few years, I'll finish. Woot woot.
 
Dude, the University of Phoenix has some great programs! That's where Craig1221 met his current hottie!

I went back for my Masters and it was a good experience. I appreciated my education more than before I started working professionally. It didn't make a significant impact on my salary in that position at my employer, but it has opened up more advancement potential and made me more marketable to outside firms.
 
Got out of highschool and never looked back. Taco Bell has worked out great!
