I know every billionaire in Utah, personally.. and NONE would remotely consider buying/owning a sports franchise.

Not saying the team is leaving or anything, just saying what I said.

As of 2014, Utah was one of nine states that doesn't have any billionaires. Jon Huntsman comes closest with a net worth of $950 million.

I hope you're not still working with James Sorenson (one of the four billionaires you named) because he died in 2008 and donated the vast majority of his $4.5 billion fortune to the philanthropic Sorenson Legacy Foundation before he passed. None of his heirs is now a billionaire.

Owning a sports franchise from one of the big three sports is one one of the best investments you can make long term. The amount these franchises have grown in value (including the Jazz) proves that.

I guarantee there is a line of investors trying to buy into sport franchises.


The Jazz aren't going anywhere unless the Millers just want cash out, but I guarantee they have been advised it's not a great decision, and Im sure they already know that.
