Most people have Knight ranked ahead of Kanter.
I've been tracking the mock drafts for a while now, and that only happened after the Jazz got the #3 pick. That is, they have Knight ranked higher because they think the Jazz will likely pick him, not necessarily because they think he should be ranked ahead of Kanter.

Lit'cherlly ell oh ell'd!! You have MAYBE only seen YouTube clips of these kids and now they are "your guys"?
-Austin Rivers isnt a PG, period.
-Kabongo has Stevie Franchise written all over him
-Teague; "ehhhh"
-Marshall.............
But you keep hope for the future, ok. Tell us all about the 2013 crop of guys you've
never seen play either, in a few months.
On the other hand you had almost all mock drafts at one time (before draft order was determined) with us picking Fredette. So why dont more think that we could pick Kanter (trade Millsap or Jefferson for a wing) and then take our golden boy Fredette?
I think you can get bigger and longer in more positions than just center. Picking Kanter doesn't necessarily make us any longer, however, Williams at 3 as a 3 does make us longer.
I think Williams would be best served to lose 5-7 pounds, all while retaining his strength, in order to play the 3 and have the (lateral) quickness necessary to do so. I don't care what any "expert" says; I do not see him as a 4 at all. He'd be mediocre at best imo. But as a 3, if he gets a little quicker, I think he could be an elite scorer.

He has a 9' standing reach, he could easily play the 4 and be very good. I think he can be both SF or PF, but I think he would be a much better 4. He would create a speed mismatch for almost every team to guard him, and he still has the length and strength to defend every 4 in the NBA.
Uhhh, Williams has the standard game of the standard PF now a days. Athletic face up 4 who can hit from outside. I don't see him struggling to score at all. Defense is always a struggle for rookies. I doubt he will be as bad as you think though.
Offensively, perhaps you're right. But defensively? He sucked on the defensive end at the collegiate level. You think that'll get better in the pros? I believe it's next to impossible to teach effort. A guy either has it or he doesn't. And he doesn't have it. Hell, even at the workouts, it's come out that he looks very lazy on defense.

Players rise in the draft each year. I remember dwill( illinois)was ranked about 12 or so before tournament. He started to rise during the tourney. We know how that turned out. Knight is rising. He had a great combine, great tourney and interviews very well. He will be very good. Did you by chance compile this in 05?

Yea, because we really want a PG who's biggest weakness is "turnovers and being able to finish at the rim"
Big men carry teams, not PG's. You not knowing this says loads about you.
