The balls could bounce in the Jazz favor next month!

2005 Milwaukee pre-lottery: 6th. post-lottery: 1st
2006: Toronto pre-lottery: 5th. post-lottery: 1st
2007: Portland pre-lottery: 7th. post-lottery: 1st
2008: Chicago pre-lottery: 9th. post-lottery: 1st
2009: LA Clippers pre-lottery: 3rd. post-lottery: 1st
2010: Washington pre-lottery: 5th. post-lottery: 1st
2011: LA Clippers pre-lottery: 8th. post-lottery: 1st
2012: New Orleans pre-lottery: 4th. post-lottery: 1st
2013: Cleveland pre-lottery: 3rd. post-lottery: 1st

jk don't get your hopes up. average pick for #4 pre-lottery in the last 9 years: 4
3 of those years #4's received the #3 pick, 3 of those years were #5, 2 of those years were #6, and 1 of those years was #1.
In the past 13 years, #4 hasn't gotten a #2 pick.
My prediction is we'll get either 3 or 5. Most likely 5 because of course.

Lakers will win it. Cause the NBA is fixed. Boston #2 Philly #3 Bucks #4 Orlando #5 Utah #6 and draft Vonleh

It's what will happen. Not what I want.

No it's not what will happen, we don't know what will happen. It's a stupid statement. The lakers have a chance to move up and if they do you'll just call it out saying you were right all along.

And we all remember what happened to the poor schmoes who had the #4 pre-lottery position that season.

I'm not generally a conspiracy theorist but several teams have had suspicious outcomes over the many years of the lottery. Call it kismet if you like; I call it suspicious, even though there is apparently NO way the lottery can be "fixed."

If you honestly don't believe the NBA is rigged I feel sorry for you. Google Tim Donaghy

And that is such BS. The lottery is done behind closed doors for no one in the public to see.

Yeah that's a great way to prove it. Did I ever say anything about refs being bought off? It was his choice to do that, not the NBA's.

The NBA told him to fix games. And he had proof. He went to prison for coming clean.

I don't believe they told him specifically to fix games but there were some general statements from the NBA passed to refs to go easy on certain players and teams. However, he cast suspicion on certain refs like Dick Bavetta, the guy who ignored the MJ push off of BRuss, as being complicit with the NBA in fixing games. There were a number of other games he pointed out and a few other refs that made suspicious calls or no-calls.

People always cast aspersions on the guy because he did illegal things and the NBA came down hard on him for that as a way to deflect any scrutiny of their guilt. However, I don't think any prosecutors wanted or want to go after David Stern. He is too popular and the scandal would ruin the NBA and cost it billions of dollars.

Then why do they not let the public see the ping pong balls being pulled out? How is that transparent?
