Hayward opted out

Haywood opting out of 34 mil this year is kinda foolish if you ask me. What is even more foolish is another team offering him even more money just to sign him. Who am I kidding, there are lot of stupid GMs out there that all like to spend stupid amount of money just to sign them then regret it a year or a few years later.
 
He has to have a promise. Gordon Hayward is a lame dude and wouldnt take an unnecessary risk like that.

Anyone listen to locke or any other podcasts that have dropped any juicy nuggets on hayward? Locke always has those nice little details that give you a lot of insight. Would love to know what the front office thinks or if anything has leaked out of boston or haywards camp.
 
Knicks signing Haywood to a max deal is exactly what the Knicks do.

Locke is still butt hurt that Gordon never said goodbye to him. He gets star struck and sometimes thinks he is closer to players than he is, when the players are just being nice to the press or manipulating them for favorable coverage.

not sure. I heard Ben Howland talking about his former player who just got drafted and refered to Woodard's phsyique as "a greek figure" said in all his years of coaching he never had a kid who was built like that. Reading that i couldnt help but think of posts i saw here where Locke was saying "body of adonis" which imo is just such a worse way to phrase it.
 
**** you Hayward. Which he had been smart enough to realize Utah was the best place for him to be for his career.

it could’ve been him Gobert and DM. Great work haybutt!!
 
What a disaster that was for him in Boston. He never developed into the man. He had bad injuries. He never came close to winning a title. Sure I guess the paycheck was nice.

Agreed. And, it happens continually to all GM's even though we love evaluating our front office with with our perfect 20 20 hindsight vision.
 
I hope that last minute decision making screwed the Celtics out of a deal they otherwise had lined up. Danny Aids is a plague.

Also, its unfortunate that the Celtics have cap space now. Boo them.
