I listened to the whole rant the day he laid it down, and the day after. I thought it was overdone, and in bad taste, unnecessary in fact to use the crude words. Most of his spiel was about how ridiculous it is for a law school student to think she needs $3000, a whole summers' wage, to pay for her "protection". He listed a number of fairly inexpensive options, and didn't even mention abstinence. Most law school students of the female persuasion would not want to be known for being. . . . . . well. . . . . , that much fun. It's not a line item on a C.V. or resume for sure. On balance, the more media play it gets, the more most Americans of all kinds just think the dems have really lost their good sense. It's becoming exhibit A in the list of reasons why people don't like government spending for stupid things, especially when we're having a lot of unemployment and more regulations than anyone can even comprehend, which all cost us money every time we buy anything.
Rush apologized, and everyone knows dems talk worse trash all day long, and won't apologize for anything, or hold any of their own accountable for even worse language. It's really going to just make a lot more folks ashamed to be dems. And Rush will keep his fans. My wife cheered for him on this one. And still tells her friends I'm a socialist. I just wish we had a real political option to Tweedledem and Tweedledum that could rally some people around a decent take on human rights and human choice. Just make the government go away, that's all I ask.
Looking at her pic, though, I have to reconsider. Isn't she pretty butch? What does she need pills for?
