Who the hell is Ed shultz? No one got upset because no one knows or listens to this Ed Shultz character. So get off of it.

Rush Limbaugh is the mouthpiece of the GOP. He has millions of listeners. Whether you agree with him or not, such a prominent political and social figure can't get a way with calling someone those terms.

Oh, so it's ok to call a person a slut on TV if you are not a big time star, just a commentator that gets few viewers.
But if you are a big shot celeb host, then it's suddenly horrible and terrible.

Oh, he had some advertisers leave? OH NO! Funny thing is those advertisers are losing business fast, and there are many more companies ready to take their place on the Rush show.

Ed Schultz is the host of his own show on MSNBC. The valid point remains, why does he get a pass when he calls a woman a slut? Why didn't Obama call Laura Ingram and apologize to her for Schultz' nasty words?

The net worth of the Forbes 400 (400 richest in the WORLD)... is $1.4 Trillion. That is their entire (lifetimes worth of) wealth and they're not all Americans.

So, let's say you tax them (even the foreigners) 100% of their total net worth, take ALL their money... that will pay 1 year of our debt.

Then take the next 753 who have over $1 billion and that adds up to $1.8 trillion... take ALL that money (even foreigners) together you get a grand total of $3.2 trillion from the world's billionaires.

That will pay for about a half of what Obama has spent (in 3 years).

That money is all gone now. The world's 1153 billionaires now have ZERO dollars.

What next.......?

I listened to the whole rant the day he laid it down, and the day after. I thought it was overdone, and in bad taste, unnecessary in fact to use the crude words. Most of his spiel was about how ridiculous it is for a law school student to think she needs $3000, a whole summers' wage, to pay for her "protection". He listed a number of fairly inexpensive options, and didn't even mention abstinence. Most law school students of the female persuasion would not want to be known for being. . . . . . well. . . . . , that much fun. It's not a line item on a C.V. or resume for sure. On balance, the more media play it gets, the more most Americans of all kinds just think the dems have really lost their good sense. It's becoming exhibit A in the list of reasons why people don't like government spending for stupid things, especially when we're having a lot of unemployment and more regulations than anyone can even comprehend, which all cost us money every time we buy anything.

Rush apologized, and everyone knows dems talk worse trash all day long, and won't apologize for anything, or hold any of their own accountable for even worse language. It's really going to just make a lot more folks ashamed to be dems. And Rush will keep his fans. My wife cheered for him on this one. And still tells her friends I'm a socialist. I just wish we had a real political option to Tweedledem and Tweedledum that could rally some people around a decent take on human rights and human choice. Just make the government go away, that's all I ask.

Looking at her pic, though, I have to reconsider. Isn't she pretty butch? What does she need pills for?

Corporate public relations posturing is all irrelevant to what most of us think. Those guys hold a finger to the wind to see which way the media is blowing, and just try to get in line before anybody notices. They consider their personalities on the frontline all expendable and in fact make it policy to cycle through them regularly. . . . before anyone can really demand actual money for being a recognizable talking head.

Rush thumbed his nose at them from day one, and that's why we like him with or without manners, grace, good sense, or relevance. His so-called EIB network is pretty much his own show, but alas, the same stupid advertisers have to pay the freight along the way. My guess is that some smarter advertisers will pick it up and take advantage of the intensely loyal following. Oh, a few conservatives know he's a sell-out to the Republicans now, where once he was just as critical and goofy/humorous/honest about the dums as he still is about the dems. But where else can you find a huge mass of ego and wit like that, anyway.
