I’d prefer Fournier if he’s obtainable. He has the size and skill set the Jazz covet and he already has an existing relationship with one of our franchise players. His age puts him right in the middle of Rudy’s window. I think he’d fit in well if the cost was reasonable.

I agree. The fact he can play defense and has the potential to shoot around 48% from the field while also being a 6'8" SG is enticing. That's why I proposed the Favors, Thabo, and Hood for Fournier and Hezonja trade. And now some people are talking about trading for Fournier in the Mirotic thread which is neat. Plus I think it's safe to say Rudy and Fournier would play well together as they already have done so in the past.

I know people don't want to trade Thabo but if it got the deal done I'd love the trade.

I've been really high and really low on Rod. What I've come to grips with is that we don't have the personnel to maximize his play style. He really needs a Korver/Reddick role. Weaving through off-ball screens until he pops out and has a catch and shoot 3 (which he's actually quite good at) and make that 80% of his contribution. Maybe the occasional mismatch "mouse-in-the-house" "back-down" "keep-em-on-your-hip" mid-ranger that he used to do a lot (but hardly does now). Right now we're asking him to facilitate (which he's actually OK at), drive (which he's not OK at), and be basically the only offensive weapon on the floor (he often plays without Mitchell, and the other team can ignore everyone else and stick to him like glue).

He needs a team where he would be the 3rd guy, where he can pop out for open looks, spread the floor, but ultimately not be game-planned for. We aren't that team.
 
Fournier would be great here for us, Rudy will always like that he has another French brother by his side, I don't want to part ways with Thabo tho
