Hood traded to Cleveland for Crowder; Johnson to Sacramento

Is it true that we are sending Joe Johnson to Sacramento? Oh please tell me we didn't do that to him. That blows.

If we could now dump Burks (and a 2nd if we have to) for some scrub expiring, my day would be made.

Though I guess we need him now with Hood and Sef gone.

I think we got the short end of the deal. But Jazz for some reason got in a must trade situation for Hood.

This feels like the Hill trade we made. Its a good player and could work out okay for us but we got poor value in the trade.

We've played our best basketball -- I mean, FAR AND AWAY OUR BEST BASKETBALL -- when we lock-down the perimeter. Rugged AF. Crowder pushes that version forward another step; Rodney was a weakness.

Q will essentially ask Crowder to do the same stuff he was doing in Boston. It should be a quick marriage.

In Crowder, we added what we need and covet. A stretch 4 (though I feel like he struggles some there—can anyone disprove that?) option who plays above average defense and brings some nastiness.

I do not believe that Crowder is much of a stretch 4. He had one year where he was an efficient threat from 3 and could stretch the defense. This year I have watched a few games where defenses sag off of him (thus removing his floor spacing benefits).

This is a bad trade! I really don't like it! People think Boston Crowder when they think Crowder. This is not what Crowder is nowadays. He's been trash all around - offense, defense, shooting, even rebounding.

I don't have as strong of a negative feeling as I did for the Rubio trade, but I would definitely have rather kept Hood if this is the best we could do.

I mean it's been less than a year since he was "Boston Crowder". Speaking of sample size Boston Crowder is much larger than Cleveland Crowder.

He responded to the players and tenor around him, and he was mostly played out of position. Watch what happens when he responds to the intensity of Gobert and Rubio, and is actually incorporated into an offense.

The difference between Snyder and Lue is about to be put on display.

I like this trade. Once people cool their heads and realize he's gone it'll work out. If Quinn can get Rubio to the point where he can shoot, he's going to do wonders with Jae.

Even at 34% it's still a positive possession. He can help space still.
