What's new

Houston in talks with Kyrylo Fesenko.

A little blog about Fes today in the Trib. Nothing new really. It does name Cleveland, Golden State as other teams interested besides Houston. Elson is already apparently practicing with most of the other players. I hope Fes has been working out since the Euro qualifying tournament ended.

Wow, what an expert

He's working out. I bet he's up to 4 Big Macs and 3 packs of smokes a day by now. Soon he'll be in midseason form.

Wow, such an expert. He came back at 285 lbs and has been working hard with his trainer. Thanks for playing though.

Are you Fes's brother, agent, or butt-buddy? If you're the later one, you might not want to tell Kicky. It might hurt the little fellow's feelings.

I left this in your private messages this morning:

Fes wants to work out with the guys but the nature of contract negotiations don't allow for that. Even practicing with the guys at Zions could imply acceptance of the contract and at the very least weaken his negotiating ability. I promise that his agent/camp have been EXTREMELY reasonable with their requests to finish the signing and could have had it done weeks ago. Now there is significant interest from some other teams and that just needs to play out at this point. I can tell you this. Fes has been working out almost daily with his trainer. The same trainer as DWill, Millsap, Price etc. He has also been on the court running drills, just not at Zions. He also came back at 285 lbs. ready to play.

It's all a mess. A mess we all hope is settled soon.

To me, it seems like it's more of a problem with Fes's "young and up and coming" agent trying to make a name for himself. I know that they PT for DWill and Millsap have done wonders for people, but he's also worked with guys like Ryan Toolson. In other words, a lot of work, no NBA.
