If the owner of the Jazz somehow pulled a swap and got an entire 2025 OKC team in the Jazz uniform would you immediately start cheering for them? And if this OKC squad wins the championship in the Jazz jerseys would it not be hollow?

I would not cheer for or follow that and any success would be hollow in my opinion.

The Jazz are going to have a down year this year, but they're doing the right thing. Draft another All Star talent to put next to Ace and Lauri and things will start moving.
 
I wonder if the Jazz have any interest in a 2023 first round pick the Mavs just waived? He was drafted ahead of Brice and he and Coach Woj have a connection. To me he would make more sense than some of the old men currently populating the roster.
 
I moved to Utah in 1990 from a California I never fit into. I quickly become a Jazz fan and that hasn't budged since. I had to move out of Utah after a few years but I took my Jazz fandom with me when I did. I am excited, but I enjoy speculating on the rookies and prospects so now is a good time of the year, with the promise that hasn't yet been dashed.
 
Why should we be less interested about the Jazz now? The upcoming season is one of the most exciting and unpredictable ones that I remember as a Jazz fan. So many players may have either a break-out year or to completely crash their value and hit a hard ceiling.

- Will Lauri be OK with continuing his last year's lackluster performance or will he (propelled by his performance at the 2025 EuroBasket) step up and return to dominance?
- Will Kessler take a next step offensively and enter the group of elite centers or is he about to hit a ceiling?
- Will Hendricks become a legit starter or will he struggle through an up-and-down season?
- Will Keyonte try to work on his defense or is he OK with being an offensive spark off the bench as his career role?
- Will Brice become a useful role player or is he in danger of falling out of the NBA?
- Can Collier learn to shoot?
- Is the summer league Flip for real?
- Who is Cody Williams?
- Will Hardy finally try to make his team to play defense?
- Finally, what is Ace going to be in his first year?


Every game in the 2025-26 season will be so exciting to watch in a sharp contrast to the utterly predictable last two years of the Mitchell-Gobert Jazz.

To be fair he said IF Kessler takes a step offensively.
Currently he is definitely one of the best defensive players in the league. One the most efficient offensive players in the league. If he took a good size step up in his game offensively (I doubt he will) then he would be a pretty elite center.

Gobert was a pretty elite center with very little offensive game fwiw
