Last year was kind of a fluke, when they had 2 players, one in each conference, who were first ballot hall-of-famers, champions, perennial-all-stars, who had both announced they were retiring at the end of the season. And, except for a weird brief period, they also played their entire careers for one franchise. It was kind of a perfect storm.

If the Jazz stay in the 2 or 3 seed there’s zero reason both Donovan and Rudy shouldn’t make it.

That's right, just starters. Reserves are announced a week later on 31st. But I presume the coaches cast their votes earlier than that. So Utah now should keep winning games for another week to maximize their chances of sending two stars to the ASG.
