How Much Could Tyler Herro Match Donovan in Utah?

I just don't get the logic:

• We have to trade Don NOW because we need to tank to get a high draft pick.
• Herro at 22 is "as good as Don" at the same age and could be better.
• People think we're a potential treadmill team building around Donovan
• Yet think the right path is to build around Herro/Duncan at Super max money

So how exactly does trading for him help us tank? How does it prevent us from being a treadmill team?

I feel the same way. I just don't see how any Miami deal makes sense in a 2 team deal. Even then, what team is going to give top notch draft picks for Herro?

I just don't see it.

A Herro-lead team by himself leads us to a top-5 pick. We have a great building block already and add a top-5 pick with him. It’s really not hard to understand.

Herro is worse than Clarkson. I mean Clarkson has improved and is worn battle. Here's I believe is a system phenomenon.

If you move Donovan you move Bogey/Beverley/Conley/ Beasley/Clarkson as well. Roll into next year with Herro/Vanderbilt/Kessler and get a top-5 pick.

If Herro is basically young Donovan as you've claimed how does he lead us to a bottom 5 pick but Don leads us to a pick outside the top 10?

So Herro is a young DM, the player that led us to the playoffs 5 straight seasons, yet Herro is leading us to a bottom 5 pick. Something about this math doesn't add up.

Great building block that’s basically Donovan 2.0

Leads us to a bottom 5 pick

How?

Also why are the Heat going to leverage their draft future for Don when they already have a player on the same trajectory? And how does their 2 picks get it done?
