How Much Could Tyler Herro Match Donovan in Utah?

Herro is likely a CJ McCollum 2.0 type player... he's helpful... maybe he could be more. Just saying.

No I didn't. Took them straight off basketball reference. I rounded them both down for EFG% and even rounded up for Herro's 3p%.
JC was 16 a game and .504 EFG... not sure what you mean by rounding.

Columns bro... they mad tricky.
Both you guys can piss off. I didn't fudge anything.

Sorry you lost your lame argument of Donovan vs Herro because I pointed out Jordan Clarkson and Herro had almost identical years.

But one is 22...................

21 Clarkson vs 22 Herro.....
Ahhh the old cherry pick the season you pull it from. Nice... again... if JC put those numbers up over starter minutes (which Herro plays) and was in his age 22 season we'd all be quite excited.

Just look at Herro 21-22

and compare it to

Jordan Clarkson

Damn near identical if you gave Clarkson 6 minutes a game more.

I think he put the DRB for Herro instead of the total rebounds.

But he got it close enough for his point to stand. I also think a Herro + future picks package for Mitchell is a terrible return. You can hope for Herro to turn into Mitchell 2.0, and you can hope for the Heat, a well-run organization, to have a downward spiral so that their future picks are good. Both are extremely unlikely.

If we're trading away Mitchell, I'd rather fleece the Knicks. You know those picks will be fantastic.

Player 1 - 27mpg 18.4ppg 52%EFG 35%3p 2.5apg 4rpg 1.6tpg

Herro - 33mpg 20.7ppg 52%EFG 40%3p 4apg 4.5rpg 2.6tpg

If Player 1 would have played 6 more mpg, he would have more points per game, more rebounds per game, close to the same assists per game but less turnovers per game.

Who is player 1?

How can you look at those numbers and not think it’s comparable lol.

Did Herro really average 4 APG and 4.5 RPG this year?

6th Man Years

Clarkson 21
Herro 22

C'mon man
I mean if you are going to cherry pick state it in the OP so that multiple people don't use the most recent/relevant sample and get confused.

I love how you guys "move the goalposts".

You wanted to compare Donovan Mitchell to Tyler Herro using per 36 and a bunch of other metrics you want to use.

I pointed out Clarkson, in his 6th man role just a year prior to Herro, but it's not comparable.

You guys are a waste of time.

It was actually 5rpg.

He's nothing like Jordan Clarkson at all. Now that I think about it, he's the next Dennis Rodman on the glass. He hasn't gotten there yet because he's only 22.

You literally fudged Herro’s numbers.

Here's a better comparison: Per 100 possessions (with accurate numbers):

2021-22 Herro: 31.8 pts on 56.1 TS%, 6.1 asts, 7.7 rebs, 4.0 tovs
2020-21 Clarkson: 33.5 pts on 54.9 TS%, 4.5 asts, 7.3 rebs, 3.1 tovs

We are comparing them at age 22. Come back and compare Clarkson and Herro at age 22 and we will talk. I am starting to think you just might not be the brightest when it comes to basketball knowledge but that’s ok.

You literally fudged Herro’s numbers.
I literally looked at DRPG instead of RPG.

Half a rebound.

But hey, post another colorful chart comparing Donovan Mitchell to Tyler Herro. The dumbest comparison we've had on here for a long time.
