https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/releases/9703.phpHow does that compare to the additional costs in lost productivity, additional health expenses, etc.? Got any hard numbers?
Action on Smoking and Health" tells us that a 30-year-old smoker can expect to live about 35 more years, whereas a 30-year-old nonsmoker can expect to live 53 more years.
As you can see the average smoker dies @ 65 while non smokers die @ 83
21% of the federal budget is from social security. Smokers pay in and don't collect. This is just one example of the savings smokers impart on society. It's so funny to me that people think that if they don't smoke they will never get a disease and die. The average non smoker will visit the hospital many more times than a non smoker. Think of all the hip replacements that were not carried out on people because they never lived long enough to need one.
I did answer the question. If you don't like second hand smoke don't patronize an establishment that allows smoking. Also, you didn't answer the question. What's the smokers responsibility regarding the damage his smoking causes others?
