- Opening night

- New team

- Wanting to impress Kyrie and finish that lob

- All eyes on him now that he changed team, TNT, etc.

- Wanting to impress the young guys (Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum) and proving that he's better than those 2 promising guys

- Expectation of beating the Cavs now that they're supposed to be contending for the East


Hayward played for years for the Jazz without that high of an expectation. Then suddenly moving to BOS with all those fans expecting the World, etc.


The same play, with the Jazz, maybe he would have let the ball sail out rather than trying to go up and get it.

Is it? I'm not on twitter putting clovers up and talking smack. I'm pretty rational... for a fan. if Hayward had grace and empathy in how he left I would have been disappointed but not nearly as salty. I have basically turned off any ringer podcast with Simmons or kevin o Conner because I couldn't handle listening to it. Even today in his article they talked about Hayward was ready to flourish under Stevens like he had been hiding all this hidden talent in Utah.

So please judge me based on the fact that I think those fans were insufferable...

So many of you suffer from "LOOK AT ME! I'M A GOOD PERSON!" disease.

Sheesh. You all fall over yourselves to post your condolences to Hayward and then badmouth and attack anyone who dares say "Karma" or expresses any degree of happiness over what happened to Hayward.
And many of you have accused any such person as being a BAD PESRON and you've attacked them personally.

Hey, if you genuinely feel bad for Hayward and want to express it, fine. But I would wager that most of you are just showing your need to be seen as a GOOD PERSON!
But why is any other opinion invalid? Because you get to decide what constitutes a GOOD PERSON?

I'll say it loud and with no apology: When I heard that Hayward broke his leg, I was very happy. In fact, just a few hours earlier, I wrote an email to a fellow jazz fan in a foreign country that I hoped Hayward and many other players in the NBA would get injured. Right now, I probably despise more players then I ever have at one time, and I've been following the NBA since the 80's.
Hayward screwed the jazz big time. When he left, he was dead to me. I hoped he would fail.

Now, my hope for his failure means ZILCH! I have no control over what happens to him, and NEITHER DO ANY OF YOU! Your well wishes for his welfare mean ZILCH.
Whether I am happy about his injury or sad about it has no bearing on anything.

Yea, I was on this board a few years ago and even met a few of you (not sure the people I met are still here) and I saw how many of you treated people who didn't measure up to your GOOD PERSON threshold.

I would say GET OVER YOURSELVES, but you won't.
I doubt I'll be posting on here much, but I couldn't resist this one.

I didn't see it, but some Celtics fans were saying that Crowder did push Hayward in the back. Can anyone verify that?

The play looked clean to me. It was Lebron's block that sent Hayward onto his back and his leg got trapped underneath him.

I referred to shaming some posters and some Jazz fans in general for not feeling terrible.
