I Still Support Hayward

He is a good player with high level effort to win. With more pg options, I think he can play more Comfortable without the necessity to make plays. He has good talent as spot up, post up, p&p shooter, p&r passer, cutter and chasing defense. He just needs to work on getting more consistent and start with taking less responsibility.

I'd rather pursue Luol Deng who is seeking around 12M than giving a max to Hayward. Deng brings more things to the table, especially defensively, and along with veteran leadership.

If I still want to spend more money, then I'd go after also Aminu to set the SF position for good. They improve the Jazz both offensively and defensively more than Hayward could do on his own. If I'm worried about 3 point shooting, I'd consider another 3 pt shooter SF instead of Aminu, like Garcia who is also a great veteran or Mike Miller or Anthony Morrow etc.

Demar Derozan is better than Hayward and people were killing his 4/40 million dollar extension before last season.

15 mil a year for Hayward is a joke.

41% from the field and 30% from 3... Those percentages remind me of;

I respect the Hayward fans. We've had many players I've liked that had to go too.

It's time to move on. He's not a cornerstone, but wants to be paid like one.

He's a little kid who spends too much time on video games. We only should pay the max to men.

All Hail Burks, the cornerstone of the franchise.

Even Locke admitted with his analytics analysis that by year 4 a player is who he is. Very few exceptions.

So essentially, we know what Hayward is. He's a soft athletic wing with decent ball handling who cannot shot. In fact he was in the top 10 worst catch and shoot guys in the entire league. He refuses to attack the paint, has zero post up game, and is mentally weak.

Locke's stats seem to agree completely with Stan Van Gundy's observation.

If the Gordy fan club proclaims that they know more than Locke's state and SVG's analysis, then more power to ya... An ok role player when there are already 2-3 stars on the team.

But the rest of us living in reality? We see that he Clearly is not a max guy.

Stan Van Gundy should be re-asked his opinion on Hayward after Swaggy G dismantled his team in the 4th quarter.

How is reality treating you so far? You seem to be conspicuously absent...

In pgab defense, derozan is averaging 22.7 ppg, 2.3 steals, 5 rebounds, 2.5 assists for a team that is 6-1 and first place.

So while hayward had been awesome, it's not like derozan has sucked..... and derozan is cheaper (that has to be considered)
