Its Time to Tank

Yeah, possibly. Utah can give him time away from the court and away from the media. We tank, get Victor, then Ben starts feeling better and we dangerous AF.

I'd do the same kind of deal for Lonzo Ball too.
The mental stuff on Ben scares me more than the physical stuff. I think guys can get healthy but I struggle when a guy has both mental and physical issues.

I'd rather bet on Lonzo, Porter Jr (not that he is available...), even Hayward... though he's old. Ben is a no-go for me.

I do think it's pretty clear the Jazz as currently constructed are probably a .500 team give or take a few wins.

I dont think it's an awful place to be because of the amount of picks we have, but I do think the best move is probably getting worse. It will just be a bit depressing going from being the feel good story of the year to just another ****** team.

Simmons still the dude who once did this to the Jazz. I'd say that's worth the risk of giving up Beasley and Sexton.
The money is the biggest thing... and no... he is not that player mentally or physically. I don't think he loves basketball and has made his money now... no motivation to fake it.

We're 5 games ahead of the 5th worst team, and will be better than them even if we trade Conley/Clarkson.

It's too late to tank.
Nah... but a few weeks from now it might be. 6-8 range is doable and the increased odds are still worth it imo. Lakers, Bulls, Minny, Nets really have no motivation to tank as their picks are owned by others.

I hate how sensitive our fan base is to the “he’ll get sick of Utah and leave” narrative, but if there was ever a guy who would rehab his value and then demand a trade to a bigger market, it would be Simmons. There’s basically all risk with almost no upside here

I dont think its the same dude... he used to fight like hell but then he got his money and revealed his lack of love for basketball.

6-8 range is typically around 30 wins.

We're not gonna finish 20-46. Even if we sell off Conley and Clarkson for nothing, like, today, with the sheer volume of tanking teams on our schedule, there's just no way.
