Jabari Parker will be better than Andrew Wiggins

lol. I don't even remember making that thread. In fairness I hadn't seen much at that point. I was in aw of his athleticism early. Repd for finding it.

Again, I'm not saying Wiggins will bust. I'm just saying I'd pick Jabari over him. Jabari seems like more of a guy that will offensively will you to wins.

I also really like both and won't be too surprised with whichever turns out to be better in the long run.

My main concern with Wiggins is his ball handling. I think that's something that's rare for someone to make dramatic improvement with. But his first step is so deadly, that I see him getting to the rim in iso situations pretty easily anyway.

My main concern with Parker is lateral quickness on the defensive end. I also think his defensive IQ is pretty far behind his IQ on the offensive end. That's something that can and should improve, but I don't think lateral quickness is something he's ever going to improve dramatically. It's something you either have or you don't, like any other physical gift. You can work hard to get better with it, but there's really only so much you can do. He's never going to have the lateral quickness Wiggins has any more than he'll have his leaping ability.

I would take Wiggins ahead of Parker because I think his world class athleticism will help him to overcome my biggest concern with him. I'm not sure Parker can do much about his biggest weakness.

Only thing that worries me about Parker is that he seems to lack the ability to really make his teammates better. He might just be a scorer.

I'm not concerned with his passing at all. I saw him him make some pretty impressive passes. I'm confident he has the skill to. He's not going to be Lebron in that regard, but who is? He wasn't racking up assists in college because it college. They needed him to score. Passing to other players could have been considered a bad play. Why pass the ball off when he is more likely to score? Who knows what coach K was telling him to do. Same goes for his defense. He could have been told save some of his energy for scoring.

Can we get an update on this claim, please...thanks.

It's looking more like I was wrong, but it certainly isn't decided yet. Jabari looked pretty good too until he hurt his knee. His knee injury might skew the whole thing, and we might never know for sure.

Funny thing is, normally I would pick the athletic guy to project as a better player. This was an exception.
