I believe that
Jabari Parker will be better than Andrew Wiggins

These 2 will always be linked together & forever debated (like Towns vs Okafor will be from this upcoming draft). It's hard to say exactly where the debate currently stands considering the injury to Parker, but while Wiggins has shown great potential this year, he hasn't dominated nearly as much as you would expect the "NEXT LBJ" or whoever to dominate. Going into the draft, I felt (as I still do) that it came down to preference (offense/bball iq vs athleticism/defense)- personally, I was torn between the 2 before the draft & still think this ends up as one of those debates that doesn't necessarily have a right or wrong answer because they will both end up being that good, just in different aspects of the game.
Parker reminded me of Paul Pierce (or at least a slightly lesser version), while Wiggins reminded me of Paul George (with slightly less ability to create/less mental toughness). Pierce is an obvious HOF caliber player, while George appeared to have a chance at becoming that type of player if it weren't for his injury. Parker's injury could change things, but going into the draft, he was clearly the safer choice, while Wiggins was the higher risk/higher reward pick.
Towns vs Okafor is a somewhat similar debate, although I think there will be a right/wrong answer in this one. I see Okafor as the safer pick (& becoming similar to Al Jefferson), while I view Towns as the higher risk/higher reward pick (& have a hard time coming up with a good comparison for him- due to his defensive potential, outside shooting, & developing inside game, which could create a very unique player- maybe the TOR version of Chris Bosh, with less range/low post offense & better defense). Again, I think it comes down to what your preference is (size/low post offense vs mobility/defense)- personally I would go with Towns. It will be very interesting to see how both of these debates (Parker vs Wiggins in particular) play out over the next 10 years.

Jabari still hasn't attempted a 3 this season, after shooting 4-16 from 3in 25 games last year.
I seriously doubt he'll live up to that Paul Pierce comparison.

there is plenty of time. he is coming back from injury, the staff has him focusing firts on other aspects of his game. I don't know how good he'll be, but i know it is way to early to judge.

It's not too early to judge the Paul Pierce comparison. He's not that good. Jabari being that kind of NBA ready, wasn't nearly as true as some would have led you to believe.... 16 3pt attempts in 29 games, an AST/TO ratio below 1..
Pierce scored 16ppg as a rookie and 20 in his 2nd season... It's just straight disrespect to call Jabari "A Rich mans Pierce" anymore, that's a blatant exaggeration..
Pierce was also the driving force behind the C's making the playoffs early in his career, even with Antoine Walker (thinking he was Batman, and Pierce was Robin) chucking up high-volume terrible shots along side him.
Interestingly enough; Wiggins scored 16 in his rookie year, and is now rght under 20ppg thus far, just like Pierce
Giannis is gonna steal Jabari's thunder with the Bucks, some have been saying that since he got drafted there...
We can all agree his stats, thus far, leave much to be desired.. right? Or is it just gonna be damage control posts that show up in this thread.. ?

agreed, but those season ending injuries take time to recover from. He's a 20 year old kid, shaken up by injury, working game by game to restore his confidence. I think this whole "apples-to-apples" comparison of players who's rookie seasons were 15 to 20 to even sometimes 30 years ago just doesnt work. The game is drastically different today, with younger players (mostly one-and-dones), different skill-sets, changed rules, changed styles (small-ball?) etc etc.
It's also worth mentioning that Jabari basically missed almost all of his rookie campaign, he's played a lot less basketball than most rookies had in the 90s, (many of whom played 4 years in college). he has a lot to learn to get where he needs to go, for sure, and it is certainly not clear that he will get there. I guess what i'm starting to think is that its apples-to-oranges to compare players between different generations of NBA basketball.
Who the **** is saying Parker is "rich man's Pierce"??? Paul Pierce is a future hall of famer and one of the top 100 to ever play in the NBA. I highly doubt anyone is making that argument.
