What's new

Jabari Parker

Oni may have been +19.5 in non-garbage minutes, but he looked like garbage in all of his playoff minutes. And that is putting it nicely.

And he played like 10-20 playoff minutes....yeah I don't judge players in entirety by their first 10-20 real playoff minutes.

Normally I'd agree, but he just disappeared. If he was aggressive and made mistakes I'd give a pass, but people that disappear in high pressure situations tend to keep doing so.

I watched Parker play a little last year… no thanks. He’s not good.

Since my vote is important to what the Jazz do. I would keep Oni over Parker. Oni has a chance to be a useful nba role player. Parker is the smaller Enes Kanter.

Yep. Same with Niang. Just was a big zero when it counted. He's gone, so why keep Oni? I know he's the 10th man or whatever, but look what damage the clippers 10th man did to us in the playoffs. I can't see Oni ever doing anything even remotely like that. I'd rather they take a swing on a player with upside in that spot.

But not Parker. Parker straight up sucks.

I have the completely opposite attitude towards Oni. The reason I like him is that he compliments better players well and can blend into any lineup. Besides, playoff performance (especially for role players) is highly variable in the playoffs. Judge any role player solely on their last playoff run and you'll find yourself looking like an idiot over and over because that is simply not how it works. Making large statements about a player based on tiny sample sizes is not accurate.

So that's why he sticks around. He's a kiss-***.

You said he compliments the better players. I'm sure giving them compliments is nice and all but not a good reason to keep the guy.
On my mission a guy was taught the law of chastity and exclaimed, “it’s my weakness. The boobs, the butts, the compliments… I love it! YES!!”

Don’t ever underestimate the compliments.
