Jackpotting Around Podcast: Episode 8 - To Convey Or Not To Convey and Let’s Start A Discussion About Collin Sexton

He did not have an outlier offensive season lol. Years 2-4.
Also, imagine thinking the Hawks weren't out there trying to trade John Collins. Dude was on the market when he was in Junior High.

He actually hyped up Sexton before y'all dropped your pod then he expanded on it today.
Monday he did... but he also dropped the "probably best as a sixth man" and "28 minute a night guy".

He obviously does not listen and we are clearly joking.

Sorry the jokes don't hit so it's hard to tell when it's happening.

Also extremely poor taste joke on the Bridges thing when you said it. Being both bad at comedy and offensive isn't a mark to aim for.

Even if Collins had an outlier season (he did not), it's a completely different situation fit wise. Collins had poor fit, but that caused his main skillset to suffer. Most of his value was wrapped up in his ability as a roll man and that was no longer being used. When you're an offense first player and that gets taken away....yeah it's going to deteriorate your value. Key/Sexton is not an offensive fit issue. In fact, I think their offensive fit is somewhat ideal. I know Sexton was really cooking with Dunn, but at some point we were going to realize that Sexton cannot be the only guy who can create with the ball. Key and Sexton have a nice mix of on/off ball ability.

Their issue is defense, and it's going to be a highlighted issue regardless of whether or not they are playing together. What we're really talking about is an issue that will pop up at the highest of high levels. We're way ahead of ourselves,

It was... immediately regretted it and said "yeah we shouldn't make that joke my bad" or something like that. One liner that slipped out... my thoughts on Bridges have been pretty obvious on social or Jazzfanz.

It would obviously be Keyonte if its based on performance and trying to win games... its not close.
I’m not sure winning games will be the biggest priority next year depending on the draft and the rest of the offseason. Maybe they are buyers this offseason and that changes. But if they bring in 3 more rookies and not doing much with trades and free agency then there’s no reason to bring Key off the bench. He and the younger guys would be the priority imo.

And again... if i annoy you, make you cringe, am bad at comedy, and offensive... go on ahead and don't listen. Its not for you.

I would also love to know examples of Sexton deals that people think would be worth it. If you really think he gets moved this offseason then by all means throw some examples of good deals out.
I’m not good at this stuff but you never know when a team might blow their cap for someone they really want
