What's new

I'm watching the re-run on KJZZ. Filipowski's defense is almost non-existent. He's not even deterring Naji Marshall 8 feet from the basket.

Also, Cody's first bucket was a legit nice floater.

Going forward, I would like to see Walt start/play with Keyonte. I think Key can play with another ball handler, but Collier really dominates the ball like no one else.

I don't really get the point you are trying to make, but it must something really smart.

Just an example of big brained tanker humor. Tankers like to use "development" as their euphemism for "losing on purpose", so they get annoyed when someone uses the word in the correct way (actually learning to win, getting better).

To tankers, real developing means nothing. The only thing that matters is losing, so we can draft a new Taylor Hendricks with a #7 pick and trade away the previous one (or, more likely, cut ties).

Stop trying to arm chair GM by talking about development. Development is meaningless as the only thing that is real is now.

Look at you acknowledging that the future does indeed exist.
No use trying that "gotcha" approach with me. I just want to win. Winning is always good and always preferable. It's ethical basketball and success tends to lead to more success in various ways.

Obviously I also want a total draft overhaul so that tanking as a whole will be eradicated, but in the meanwhile... win.

We both want to win, just different ideas on how you end up winning the most. But earlier you had firmly maintained that you don’t care about the future and that a bigger picture doesn’t exist.

I would love it if winning more at this moment would lead to more wins, but have yet to hear a convincing argument. Looking at the top of the standings all that seems to matter to me is getting good players and it doesn’t matter how you got them. I’m open to improving any which way as long as it’s the most effective given our position. My distaste for tanking won’t keep me from thinking clearly about the best options. It would be like wanting Key to stop getting FT’s because I hate foul baiting. I wish it was gone from the game and it’s not “ethical”. Yet I still want Key to take advantage because that’s what the game is.

And as far as development goes, I’m not going to say force feeding minutes is the holy grail of development, but it’s also doesn’t seem to be preventing it.
