Don't jinx it.Lots of Lakers fans are in denial, I expect some chippy responses that should be a total blast to read. This will be the best @JazzAvenues thread in a while.

Looks like Conley will play.
He only played 23 minutes and he hasn't been getting much minutes in B2Bs. I would love for him to sit so we see others but I also get the thinking that if the Jazz need to improve perimeter and team defense they need to it as a whole.Dumb… the strategy to begin the year was sit him because we need him when it matters most. Strategy is working and we just can’t resist deviating. It’s just kinda silly. I realize he didn’t play a ton last night… back end of a road-road back to back is the time to sit him. Whatevs.
Full rest days are so much better than just lower minutes though. Its just short sighted. We need to improve our perimeter defense for sure… but we also need to get Joe going… starting could help him snap out of his funk.He only played 23 minutes and he hasn't been getting much minutes in B2Bs. Sure, I don't disagree. They are finding some middle ground, though. I just get what the point may be.Full rest days are so much better than just lower minutes though. Its just short sighted. Has nothing to do with me wanting to see other guys play… just want to “be our best at the right time” like Quin seems to preach when we lose… maybe they have great data to support the change but I’d still rather have them be overly cautious with Mike.

I think you are reading too much into this… it’s about giving the team the best chance to win today and nothing more. We started doing this a little while ago… and there was no other motive. This is straight playing to maximize wins in the regular season… even though unless you get the #1 seed there is really no huge advantage to pushing hard at this point. Quin just told us the most important thing… and now we violate the spirit of that idea a couple days later. It’s just been a problem… we sometimes can’t sacrifice a little production now to set us up for ultimate success later… whether that’s developing a young guy, trying some different strategies that may not work well, or keeping guys healthy.Sure, I don't disagree. Getting Joe going is sophisticated. He feels different and starting could give him more pressure. I am not sure that's beneficial and he needs to be good at his role. He is not a starter talent anymore so Jazz can't accommodate him. Starting Ingles may make him better but it doesn't make the Jazz better.
Oh, I would love to see the other guys, lol. Getting to play right way at the right time may require backcourt to play together so they fix the things together. There isn't much practice time in the NBA as far as I know because of the 82 game schedule so using game time is necessary.
I agree. With Mike's history of hamstring issues, you can never be too cautious. I also agree that giving Joe a start could spark him and get him going...he's been much better as a starter this year.
Probably. At least they are limiting his minutes.I think you are reading too much into this… it’s about giving the team the best chance to win today and nothing more.
