What's new

Jaren Jackson Jr. traded to the Jazz

But man, I hate this trade. I don't care about the guys we let go, to say the least, but people don't realize how meh JJJ has been for a while now. I mean he's played NOTHING like a max guy. He's a black hole who fouls constantly, can only hit wide open 3's and his rim protection has REALLY fallen off. Memphis realized a long time ago they can't build around him. Soft as hell.

Oh. Shocker. Tremendous Upside doesn't like the trade. You've been doing your little bitch dance for MONTHS now just whining and moaning and complaining about the tank strategy. Now the Jazz make a move and cash in assets, and of course, you're forlorn about this one too.

We really need you to work on being a happier and more fulfilled person. Are you getting enough exercise? Going to the gym? Eating three healthy meals a day? Have you reached out to your friends and family for support?

This is what makes or breaks this pick for me. If we don't tank we essentially gave up 4 first rounders. This year being a pick that would land us a top 8 pick.

If we tank A+
If not C-
This is a generation draft we HAVE TO continue an aggressive tank. We need another elite ball handler on a rookie contract to make the money work and this draft is the best opportunity.

For everybody shooting down JJ Jr. and his performance lately, how was LM before the Jazz got him? JJ Jr. may just need a new situation. I am a pessimist, but I am hopeful about this.
This. We say a player will always be X, then there are Lauri's, and, hell, Key's, every year in this league. We have so many advanced stats dudes that only want x if they meet 22 criteria. Yeah, we all want the 3 total dudes that yield that today. Good luck, chuckle butt....

As of February 3, 2026, Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. is managing a quad injury that caused him to miss a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on January 31, but he was considered active and available for the following matchup on February 2, 2026. He has mostly stayed healthy during the 2025-26 season.
