What's new

Jaren Jackson Jr. traded to the Jazz

I feel attacked.
Ya I'm ****ed.
I didn't contribute to my 401k until I had been working at my job for like 10 years. Could have been getting that free match money all those years.
At least I did hella drugs and got drunk as a skunk alot I guess.

Saw the world and made some fans. Got two degrees. Had time to ponder the deeper questions of life (the answer to many of them is: “you should’ve gotten your **** together a lot earlier.”).

I’m not too mad.

Don’t worry. The IRS has even baked in higher “catch-up” contribution limits once you hit 50, and then even more once you hit 60. You can also log in to the Social Security website and model your options based on your current contributions.

Damn, this is super great to know (and really good policy). Thank you!

The dumbest thing about the "we can tank later" or "the tank is fine" crowd has always been the cost of tanking. People were dying on hills trying to say things like playing Svi 28 was crucial for the franchise. I understand that tanking sucks and it's more fun to win, but I cannot take these types "development" or "winning culture" arguments seriously. An extra 1-3 L's would feel great wrt to the tank right now. What it would have taken to have those extra L's would feel meaningless. If it mattered so much we wouldn't be so happy to do it now.

I am still not worried about offense under Hardy, but it was pretty eye opening to see how non-impactful JJJ has been on offense throughout the years.

The 2025 Utah Jazz lottery says hello. As do the 2023 and 2024 Detroit Pistons.
Well, as a counterpoint all of these examples included jumping over the first seeds, i.e. they included teams with the top-5 worst records and, thus, very high top-4 chances. There are way less lottery balls for four teams to jump over the 6th team, and I am not sure it actually happened in the last 10-15 years, if ever.
