This. I do not think I have seen a team with this level of contending talent so completely unprepared for the post-season before. The end of the season collapse was epic, and terrifying. How we can be so out of touch, and out of our game plan, and out of sync, and out of ideas, and out of our depth, is just beyond me. "The blender" isn't a thing anymore, even though that is how we won most of our games for the past 3 seasons. No one can defend outside of Rudy, House a little, and Juancho and Paschall who at least gave actual effort on defense, and Bogey gets an honorable mention for stepping things up. And we are so so clueless as to how to run really basic defensive schemes, such as a basic zone, and x-out switching D, that every other team seems to run just fine. This lack of preparation was what doomed us, and it was mostly, even to 90%, on Quin. That is his primary job, to prepare the team to play and teach them what they need to do to execute on both ends of the floor. But his vaunted offense was non-existent for huge stretches, and especially at crunch time, and defense was nothing more than an after-thought. "Funnel everything to Rudy, and don't worry about anything else" is not a plan. And even if we lay the blame entirely at the feet of the players for not executing Quin's plans, it still falls on the coach as he couldn't get his team to perform in the most basic ways. No ball movement, no sharing the ball, no one, and I mean NO ONE could hit a shot (that was on the players, but it was also a product of their plummeting confidence after being pounded into the ground so often at the end of the season), and, of course, the piece de resistance, NO DEFENSE.
I do not believe they will move him, maybe we get lucky and he moves himself, but I think Quin comes back next year, and we see a repeat performance with nearly the same players.
We can hope they blow it up, we can hope a big move it made of some kind, we can hope Ainge was brought in to be the assassin and set us up for post-season glory. We can also hope in one hand and **** in the other and see which fills up first.

The whole thing about us losing confidence by how we closed the season is exactly right. The argument that “it’s not Quin out there missing wide open shots” is like a parent abusing their child, and them growing up to abuse their child. You could lol at the thought of “it’s not the grandparent out there abusing the child,” but, in essence, it really is.
There's a lot of things Dallas will have to adapt to. Perimeter defenders going from garbage to great, the Suns ability to shoot higher than 27% from 3, etc...
