What's new

Jaylen Brown

Boston doesn't want to include Tatum though... they want to do it with Brown. If it is Boston's draft picks and Brown plus salary that lines up well with LA's potential Ingram and picks offer. As we know Ainge won't pay one penny more than he has to. I think they want to keep Irving, Tatum and get AD.

They should move Rozier for another pick as another liquid asset to throw in the deal. It sounds like first rounders are hard to come by in the trade market right now. .
There is no way Brown and picks gets AD. Brown only has one year before he becomes a restricted free agent. Boston would love to keep Tatum, but I just dont see it happening at all. The Lakers could send 2 or 3 first rounders plus two of Lonzo, Kuzma and Ingram. That trade trumps Boston's offer of Brown and a bunch of non-top ten picks.

At the end of the day, I still hold to my prediction that the Lakers trade for AD at the deadline. The Pelicans are plumetting right now. AD's reps already said its not all about money so NOLA waiting for the extension is kind of a moot point. AD is represented by LeBron's guy. The Lakers could be really aggressive and just do it even if they trade all their young guys. They could be poised to add to LBJ and AD this summer too.

That sounds really Orlando Magicy... could totally see the previous regime doing that.
I think it's the right thing if you can find the right trade for Bamba. Big men have such little trade value though. They really need a point and I don't know who's giving up a good PG for a center, even a young lottery center.

Maybe the Mavericks would swap DSJ for Bamba, but IDK.

In a career year for Vuc, the Magic still stink. Vucevic is unrestricted. Orlando holds zero leverage unless they want to break the bank. They would be so unwise to pay him top dollar to stay.

And give up on Bamba that quickly? Cmon

Boston has up to 4 likely first round picks this summer, if not 3-4 next. I think they can trade enough picks and Haywood for AD if it's clear AD is leaving and NO needs to rebuild.

Hayward is trash, so unless those are lottery picks, I don't see how that'd get it done. I'm sure they prefer Brown over Hayward's crippled old *** for 30m per.

Ehh, I think Hayward is eventually going to become more consistently his old self. He should be really good next year. A lot his issues right now are just shot making on fairly easy attempts, which should comeback to him.

His old self as in the Hayward of his first 6 years in the league or the 7th year version of his old self?

His 16-17 year is his ceiling now. He won’t ever get back to his all star year level
I think he could in the right situation (like back in Utah), but you're right that it probably won't happen on a team like Boston that doesnt need him to have the ball as much.

I rolled my eyes so hard at that comment. He was barely good in a system built specifically for him. And it took him 7 years. He was already a bit slow, and he seems to have lost two steps. But no, he'll suddenly be a great player as a 30 year old. Mkay.

NO would want nothing to do with that contract. And they would never trade AD for some irrelevant guy nobody wants.

Agreed that NOLA wouldnt want Hayward. If they are trading Davis they are most likely doing a hard rebuild around young guys and picks.
