What's new

Jaylen Brown

New Orleans isnt Indiana. Hayward isnt selling tickets for a non-playoff team in the Big Easy, even if he's playing great.
It's not Hayward himself that sells tickets, it's more the team full of those guys can put out an entertaining brand of basketball under Gentry's system. If Hayward gets close to all star status again and Tatum continues to develop then you got three borderline all star guys like Jrue/Tatum/Hayward potentially flying up and down the floor with Horford/Mirotic/Randle/etc flanking them, it would be fun to watch.

I would much rather watch that team than Ingram/Ball/Kuz/whoever else they get for Jrue assuming he gets traded after watching the **** show the Lakers put on against OKC without Bron/Rondo/Kuz last night for example.

Except even our picks don’t have that much value since most GM’s would project them to be in the 20’s.

IDK.. this years pick is likely either lotto or late teens... 20s worst case. If it wasn’t lotto protected (which is dumb for us to do) then it’d be fairly valuable. Not getting us Beal but could get us something decent.

I’d keep it though... we have to hit on a pick or two or we won’t get where we want to... need a Pascal Siakham or Kuzma or Levert level of success on one of these late picks.

Would be fantastic if Grayson was good... jury obviously out there.

His first two years were 34% rookie 39% last year. I think he’s just having a down year

He's a career 66% FT shooter though... I think 39 may end up being his career high. For his career he is 36%... which is kinda where I think he may settle.

I don't really trust his 3 PT% one bit. Our starting lineup can't be a bunch of 30% three point shooters.

I would see Donovan, Jaylen and Gobert as long term Jazz players in this whole scenario. If we surround those three with shooting, we could be elite and contenders. I don't think Jaylen projects to be some multiple all star, but he does make me think of an Andre Iguodala type who is very important to a good team.

Jaylen Brown is so gosh damn overrated. Seems to happen to a lot of Celtics players.

And I am the only one who has noticed how good Favors has looked this year, both with the eye test and statistically? He is a really good player right now and is working his *** off crashing the boards, trying to defend a league of incredible post up players, and doing a lot of little things to help the team. He's been great.
