Locke tweeted that Oladipo has been better than George in OKC and Indy. Then he asks is Oladipo better than George as a player?

I think George needs the ball more. I think he is better on defense as well. Victor went from over-rated to under-rated. Playing with RW is tough apparently.

Here is the $28M question though... Does OKC look to cut salary prior to the trade deadline. Their tax bill will be $28M as it stands. Getting off of $5M in salary saves them $15M total... ownership is notoriously cheap.

They already owe two first round picks, so it'd likely be Ferguson, Grant, maybe Roberson (not sure what his value is) with some bad salary.

Every team's best lineup so far in the 17-18 Season - December Edition.

Utah Jazz: A.Burks, D.Favors, J.Ingles, J.Jerebko, D.Mitchell

Jazz, what is you doing? Their three most lineups are all huge negatives. The lineup of Favors, Gobert, Rubio, Ingles, and Mitchell is especially atrocious, posting a net of -31.7 over 86 minutes and a putrid 48% True shooting. Swapping Hood in for Mitchell(their most used group) isn't much better, posting a -11.2.

And so we're forced to dig a little deeper. The chosen lineup put up an incredible 141.5 ORTG on an amazing 72% True shooting. They have just 40 minutes together, though, while the starters have all played between 80 and 110 minutes.

There is not a single positive lineup using Gobert. Hopefully they figure that out soon because you kind of need your best player.

It really is a good offensive lineup when you think about it. Great shooting, good passing, good penetration, good off ball action, a good pnr big man, who can hit from mid range.

Could be that they've just played against really bad defensive lineups, but on paper I'd say that's a pretty good modern lineup.

DM, Burks, Ingles, Jerebko, Favors is an interesting lineup in today's NBA.
On the floor this group looked as good as they did on the paper, in fact even a bit better posting a league high ORTG of 141.
4 shooters (38%, 41%, 46%, 46% from 3 --with Mitchell's 38 improving), two slashers, all five fearless players.

When a team goes from #28 to #1 just like that, it's not only the soft schedule or small sample size. That's a deja vu moment similar to Kanter-less Jazz' improving defensively from bottom to top.

This is a tough spot for the Jazz. How to proceed? Gobert is an elite player. You need elite players to be able to compete. But does he fit?
Favors posted 18 ppg during that 10 game stretch while still gelling with 5 new players added this off-season. Is he elite? I don't think so. But he's really really good. Certainly looks elite when playing angry/focused. Is he healthy? He is fine this season but probably not as athletic as before. Also he probably feels offended that the Jazz tried to trade him away and not approached with a real extension offer. In fact there is nothing about the Jazz on his twitter. He does not want to play alongside Gobert. One the other hand his connection with our wonderkid is just too good; both seem to like each other and enjoy playing together.

We have decision to make and it's not easy.
 
Nuggets won, sadly, but Knicks and Sixers took care of business. We remain 8th, half a game ahead of the Thunder, half a game down to Pels/Blazers, 2 games behind the Nuggets.
 
I'm ready to watch Mitchell get back to his jaw dropping ways after a tough Bucks game. Hood will be back tonight and Joe Jesus is 50/50. Jerebko is probable and Neto is doubtful.

Jerebko - Probable (illness)
Neto - Doubtful (concussion)
JJ - Questionable (right wrist tendon instability)

Per Jazz twitter but that was last night.
