Jazz 2017/18 Playoff Bus! All Aboard!

I am always on the Bus. I can bar tend, but only if I can drink all the koolaid I want while working!

My biggest question is can Gobert and Mitchell split the Finals MVP award this year?

As the bartender all your drinks are on the house.

This franchise will not embrace tanking. Even with a poor roster they will intentionally try to win every single game. That by itself will always sabotage a successful tank.

So I put forward that we embrace the Bus, never should have faltered lol, and trust in DL to bring us the game changers we need with the picks we have. He is really starting to hit a tone of homers with this mid to late 1st round picks.

All aboard!!!!!! CHOO CHOOO!!!

Updating OP

I never left the bus and never got on the tank.....I was close though.
Can’t remember who we were playing but I remember posting in the gamethread that if we lost that game then I was abandoning the bus and boarding the tank. We won that game so kept my spot on the bus.

State Of The Bus (SOTB):

The light has pierced the darkness and dispelled the myth of a Jazz Tank. #TankNote is dead my friends and NAOS. The Jazz have slaughtered mostly playoff teams during this 6 game win streak. The Warriors learned the error of their ways when we beat them by 30. Handing them, with a predatory smile, their worst loss of the season. The Raptors and Spurs had the audacity to think that their home court would save them. The fools, they to learned the error or their ways. But none of that compares the hubris of the Pelicans. They dared to send a shot across the bow of Jazz Nation by wearing Jazz colors on a night that Utah came to town. Their jerseys harking back to the original Jazz color scheme got our attention and they suffered for it. Gobert grabbed Davis by the scruff of his neck and beat him till he tapped out. Davis caved under the onslaught. He knows that his daddy comes from France and lives in the Wasatch front. 34 points let the Pelicans FO know their grave mistake.

As a result of all this the Jazz now own the longest win streak in the league and are narrowing the gap to the playoffs. 8-2 over the last 10. The Clippers, Pelicans, Nuggets and Blazers can all hear the Jazz coming for them and they are trembling. They want no part of the wanton disregard for basketball life the Jazz have displayed. We are once again 3.5 games out of the 6th seeded position. One that would most likely lead to a match up with the Wolves or Spurs in the first round. A position and seed that is ours by right! Looking to the immediate future I see the possibility of winning outright till the all star break.

@ Grizzlies
v Hornets
@ Blazers
v Spurs
v Suns

Then the break. Jazz can and should go 5-0. Jazz will take the 9th seed from the Clippers during that stretch.

In the long term the rough road has been dealt with. The trial by fire has forged our Jazz into a lethal killing machine bent on destruction. And the road has gotten substantially easier. Only 12 road games are left in the season.

Policy goals:

Jazz will take the 9th seed by the All star break
Mitchell wins the Dunk contest
Jazz take the 6th seed by seasons end
Jazz make an "upset" in the first round by ending the Spurs dynasty as we did Lob City or letting the foolish Wolves know that this was never their time but ours.

To the Bus!!!!! CHOO CHOOO!!!!!!!!!

Great post.
Lol @ my friends and NAOS

I recommend @franklin or @NAOS for janitorial services.
The only time I got out of my seat was to take a **** in the lavatory. It wasn't my most pleasant ****, so I got a bit bewildered. But I never got off and walked to the tank. While you were all doing that and complaining about Ricky Rubio, I was taking my seat again and being patient.

In other words, Stoked, go fix the bus bathroom because I wrecked it in there. Sorry.

Tonight's Bus Matchups!!!!

Jazz v Hornets
Clippers @ Pistons (Crush them griffin!!!)
Pelicans @ Sixers
Nuggets @ Rockets
Wolves @ Bulls
Blazers @ Kings

Tonight could be a very good night for the Jazz. If the Bolded teams win here is the ranking of the above teams with games behind the top team.

6th Blazers
7th Nuggets (.5)
8th Pelicans (1)
9th Clippers (1.5)
10th Jazz (2.5)

That's right. If the bolded wins the Jazz are only 2.5 games out of the 6th seed.

It is ours!!!

45-37 projected record, 79% chance of making the playoffs, and 2% chance of winning the championship after tonight's game according to FiveThirtyEight

Very encouraging. Don't think the odds are as good as 79% though, don't trust fivethiryeight a ton. Think it is probably closer to 50%. The problem is the Clippers might be slightly better or at least as good as they were before, Portland, Denver, and New Orleans are all desperate as hell and those franchises probably view the playoffs as a much. That being said, I don't think NO makes it. It'll be a five horse race.

I think our players want it really bad, and I think we are better than NO and maybe the clips. We will see what happens. Hope Jae fits in right away and returns to boston form. OKC will make it and I think Portland will too. So we have to beat the clippers, new orleans, and denver. Four horses for two spots. And two of those horses have jockeys who owe money to the mob and are racing for their kneecaps. It's going to be tough.

Warriors v Nuggets (GSW in 4)
Rockets v Blazers (HOU in 4)
Spurs v Jazz. (jazz in 6)
Thunder v Wolves (Thunder in 6)

Warriors v Thunder. (GSW in 6)
Rockets v Jazz (rockets in 4)

Warriors v Rockets. (Warriors in 7)

Either wins the championship in 5 or 6

That’s my post season projection.
