I always read the game thread expecting to see the Jazz down 20 at any given moment and am almost always pleasantly surprised to see them within single digits or ahead in a game that they really shouldn't be competitive in.
Grizzlies are one of the top teams in the league, and the Jazz have a combination of Jingles, Lil'Sap and Patrick Christoper. . . er. . . I mean Elliot Williams. . . or. . . (who the Hell is it now? Oh yeah. . .) Chris Johnson playing wing along with Hayward. Plus the PG combo of Trey "Shoots-Too-Much-Makes-Too-Little-(and-Sucks-at-Defense)" Burke and Dante "Quit-Being-A-Semi-Dangerous-Fawn-Deer-And-Just-Kill-Someone-to-Wear-Their-Pelt" Exum.
I'm pretty happy with how Enes Kanter has been playing lately and am growing more and more comfortable with the Jazz just trying to stay strong inside and bring him back next year instead of making a splash in free agency. Still think he will get an offer that most fans will freak out about (except oddly enough, freakazoid - go figure) and we will have a multitude of "Should the Jazz match Kanter's offer?" threads for Dal to bump up and laugh about this time next year. . .
Hopefully the Jazz finish this game strong and look good - win or lose. That's all I'm asking for at this point. To be competitive. Winning consistently comes with better talent, a deeper bench and more experience.
